TOWERS There died in Hensall on Thurs- day 'afternoon last Hensall's oldest resident in the person of William Towers: in his 98th year, Mr. Towers has made , his home here with Itis daughter, Mrs. John Carmichael for .a number of years and was a highly respected resident. He was born in Stirlingshire, Scotland 98 years ago : and came to this country when 21 years of age, and was so impressed with its prospects that he returned to Scotland •and married Miss Jessie Bell and they .sailed for Canada and took up land in, the township of Hibbert, which 'was then a wilderness, To them were born. eight daughters and three sons,' all of whom survive. Six daughters and two eons being home ,dor the funeral Two daughters, Mrs. Donald Park and Mrs. John Carmichael being residents of Hensall.
