DEATH OF WM. TOWERS
There died in Hensall on Thurs-
day 'afternoon last Hensall's oldest
resident in the person of William
Towers: in his 98th year, Mr.
Towers has made , his home here with
Itis daughter, Mrs. John Carmichael
for .a number of years and was a
highly respected resident. He was
born in Stirlingshire, Scotland 98
years ago : and came to this country
when 21 years of age, and was so
impressed with its prospects that he
returned to Scotland •and married
Miss Jessie Bell and they .sailed for
Canada and took up land in, the
township of Hibbert, which 'was then
a wilderness, To them were born.
eight daughters and three sons,' all
of whom survive. Six daughters and
two eons being home ,dor the funeral
Two daughters, Mrs. Donald Park
and Mrs. John Carmichael being
residents of Hensall. Mr. Towers

an active interest in public affairs,

RULES OF THE. CONTEST
1—Write your answers in pen and ink.
using one side of the 'paper only. Put.

Mills, friends or relatives of employees
and anyone connected with the Company
are not allowed to compete.
8—Contestants will be permitted to sub.

puzzle, but only one can win a Drize.

5—The final award will be made by a
committee of three Toronto gentlemen,
who have no connection with this firm.
Their names will be made known to all
contestants. Contestants must agree to
abide by the decisions of this Eomndttee.
The prizes will be awarded according to
the number of points gained by each
entry. Five hundred points is the maxi,
mum and will take first prize. Forty
points Will be awarded for each word of
the secret Message Correct. Twenty points
for general neatness and appearance of
the entry. Ten for .handwriting and sev-
enty for fulfilling the conditions of the
contest. Contest closes December 30th,
1926. Entries should be forwarded imine-
dtately,

will be asked to select therefrom Eight
Dollars' worth of Paragon Products and
to sell •same amongst friends and neigh-
bora. This is not Sales Contest. The
only qualifying condition' is fulfilled upon
