Welsh had the misfortune to have his thumb ripped by a saw at the Ross -Taylor factory. Mr. Lyle Statham, who spent the past week in Detroit, visited in Exe- ter the forepart of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Houck, of Hanniota, Man., visited with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Andrew this week. Mr. G. Mawson 'presided at the Entrance exams. at Hensall and Mr. G:' S. Howard at Winchelsea. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Tuckey and son Donald, of London, are holiday- ing with his and her parents. Mrs. Hamilton and daughter, Miss Agnes, attended the anniversary see - vices at Cromarty on Sunday. Miss Marjorie Foote underwent an operation for the removal of her tonsils and adenoids on Tuesday. Miss Olive Hern, who is ill in Vic- toria Hospital, London, is improv- ing and has gained several pounds in weight. Mr. and Mrs. N. Graham and babe of, Walkerville, are visiting Mrs. Graham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Rowcliffe. Mrs. W. H. Kay is visiting for two weeks with her daughters, Mrs. P. H. Price and Mrs. F. E. Woodruff, in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Robertson and son. Peter, and Miss Reta Robbins of ,'Stratford, spent Sunday at the hoihe of Mrs. T. Creech. Confirmation service was held in Trivitt Memorial church Tuesday evening when sixteen, candidates. were confirmed by Bishop Williams. The examinations are over in the p.blic schools and the schools are closed for the holidays. There are still several exams to try in the H.S.
