Couple shares special
day on video with guests
From page 3
When they arrived at the
resort they went over last
minute details with the
resort's wedding
coordinator.
The travel agency took
care of everything we just
had to show up, they said.
The wedding consisted of
a formal walk down a long
aisle outside and the
wedding ceremony took
place inside of a white
gazebo on the beach. The
gazebo was complete with
blossoming trees with pink
and white flowers coming
out of the top.
Most pictures were taken
after the ceremony, by a
photographer at the resort.
They were also taken in
different locations at the
resort.
To top off the celebration,
a singer entertaining people
below the balcony where
they were eating supper
dedicated a song to Lisa
and then one to the couple.
Afterwards the the wave of
people applauded them.
One of the drawbacks to
the exotic wedding was
Lisa's parents and siblings
and Mark's siblings didn't
attend the wedding but
everyone was included in
the reception they hosted
later in the year.
In October, 2001 the
newlyweds hosted a
reception in St. Thomas at
the Curling Club. They
carried the style of their
casual wedding through to
the reception with
Hawaiian lays for all the
guests.
Guests were required to
wear Hawaiian shirts and
there were umbrellas in the
drinks. Much like their
wedding, they made the
entire night all-inclusive for
their 100 guests.
To help the guests relive
their wedding day they
showed a video of the
ceremony.
The couple also set up a
special website - the
address was on each
reception invitation and
allowed the guests and
anyone else to see pictures
from the wedding.
Mark said having a
website for their photos is a
convenience because they
don't often carry around
their wedding photos to
show people.
This way, he said, he can
just give them the address
and allow them to look at
them.
One of the things they did
do with the website is not
put any personal
information on it.
The website address is
www.geocities.com/jamaica

Rev. Chris Morgan marries a broomball couple at centre ice.
Chris Morgan has seen it all
BY SARAH
CALDWELL
In 35 years Rev. Chris
Morgan, of All Faiths
Pastoral Centre, near
Holmesville, has married
more than 2000 couples in
just about any way
imaginable.
"Our main theme is to
make it a happy day for a
couple with no rules and
regulations and just allow
them to be themselves,"
Morgan said.
Morgan has gone from
death row to the wedding
aisle in his career as a
minister. All Faiths
Pastoral Centre has three
ministers that perform
weddings.
His first wedding was
very interesting since he
had just graduated from
the seminary and it was a
hippie wedding where the
groom wore a lace shirt
made by the bride and the
ceremony was performed
in the middle of a field in
Indiana.
The couple paid him
with a 50 pound bag of
potatoes.
"That was the most
unusual payment
received," he said.
Morgan is also the
Military Padre for the
district and officiates
weddings for the military,
police officers and other
ministers.
Some of the other
weddings he has officiated
include one couple who
met at the Wiarton Willie
Festival and who were
later married at the statue
of Wiarton Willie on
Groundhog Day.
