About four a.m. on Wednesday of
last week Mr. L. V. Hogarth, of
Stephen, had a brooder house, a
brooder and about 350 three -weeks -
old chicks destroyed by fire.

of his boyhood friends and revisit

Five London youths were arrest-
ed on Thursday last charged with
breaking into garages at Brucefield
Varna and Bayfield, where they
secured about $100 in 'cash and -
tires and batteries valued at' about
$200 early on Sunday morning. The
men were taken to Goderich for
trial.

criticall jil, first suffering" from
pneumonia, is slowly improving and
hopes are now entertained for his
recovery. For several days last
week it was thought by his attend-
ing physician that it was 'impossible
for Tim to pull through, but at the
