46. In Memoriam
DORSSERS: In loving memory of
Joanne Dorssers.
On December 11th, 2000 you left us
to be with God in Heaven. We hope
he takes as good care of you as you
took of us.
You were always so alive, boister-
ous, energetic and happy. Our
home is now strangely quiet.
We feel so empty and hollow with
you gone.
You will ill for such a short time
before God took you from us.
But, we are very grateful that God
gave us the wonderful gift of you,
and that we were also given the
chance to §how you and tell you
how much we love you.
You have shown us the meaning of
unconditional, limitless and tireless
love.
Even when you were diagnosed
with terminal cancer your concerns
were not for yourself, but for your
husband and children and the major
regret that you would not see your
grandchildren grow up.
When we said our goodbyes we
hopefully reassured you that we
would be o.k. and that we would
take care of one another, and Tike
you always told us all our lives "get
along."
We love you very much. We will talk
of you often, remember you always,
and miss you deeply.

We will always remember your kind
ways.

Bluewater
accepts
garbage
contract
The Municipality of
Bluewater has renewed
Carter's Waste Disposal
contract to pick up household
garbage in the ward of
Stanley for another two
years.
Based on excellent past
service and the lowest of two
bids, Carter's was hired at a
price of $81,400 for two
years for biweekly pickup
east of Highway 21 and
weekly pickup west of the
highway. Carter's takes the
waste to the Stanley landfill
site and would add another
$55 per hour if they must
travel to another site. Council
did not indicate a change in
waste disposal sites. •
The other bidder,
Bluewater Recycling
Association, estimated their
costs to be $104,854 for two
years.
SNOW REMOVAL
TENDERS
Bluewater Council has
hired Richard Webb's loader
and truck for on-call snow
removal service at $99 per
hour.
If needed, the Bluewater
public works manager will
call Webb to remove snow in
the ward of Zurich.
The same will happen in
Bayfield, if there's enough
snow to warrant it, with Dan
Merner. Council hired his
snowblowing service at
$44.50 per hour.
Regular snow removal will
be done by Bluewater staff
but manager Ross Fisher
explained they aren't allowed
to work more than 13 hours
per day. Labor regulations
have changed since last year,
when during a heavy
snowfall, staff worked up to
16 hours per day over several
consecutive days.
TRAILER PURCHASED
TO MOVE EQUIPMENT
Instead of renting a trailer
as was done in the past, the
Bluewater works department
will buy a heavy trailer to
move works and recreation
department equipment. The
trailer will cost $4,000 plus
tax and will be used, among
other tasks, to transport lawn
mowers.
46 In Memoriam
DORSSERS: In loving memory of
Joanne Dorssers, a great wife,
mother and nana who passed away
one year ago on December 11,
2000.
In tears we watched you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefully from pain,
We could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So he closed his arms around you,
And whispered "come to me."
You did not deserve what you went
through,
And so he gave you rest.
God's garden must he beautiful,
For he only takes tha best.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go e.lone,
For part of us went with you,
To God's garden, your new home.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.
