Novice tournament
a positive experience
for New Hamburg
To the Editor
On Sunday, November 18, the Novice House League team
I coach, the New Hamburg Huskies, had the pleasure of
participating in a hockey tournament in Seaforth.
Although our team didn't do very well in the tournament
losing both of our games we did however have a great time. I
have been fortunate to have travelled and participated in
many tournements over the past few years and can tell you
that the people behind this tournament run a 1st class day of
fun for the kids involved.
Not only was the tournament well run, but everyone
involved was very helpful and friendly. Everyone truly
enjoyed the "shootout" which really was a nice break in the
action to a long day.
I only know of one contact name Greg O'Reilly who did a
super job in running the event, however I know there were
many others. I took the time to read some of the background
in your front lobby at the arena of Mr. Peter Flanagan and can
say I'm sure he would be extremley pleased knowing his
name is associated with such a fun filled and well run event.

husband
To the Editor:
My husband Don was
diagnosed with Type II
diabetes a few months ago,
and knowing that Rick Wood
also has diabetes we
approached him at the local
grocery store regarding
buying products that are
sugar -free and low in
carbohydrates. He told us of
sugar -free ice cream, spreads,
cookies and more and then
went through the store and
checked out all the products
that they carry. He made a
list of them and gave it to us.
Rick was very helpful to
us.
November is diabetes
awareness month. Please get
your blood sugar checked
and if it is high Dianne
Wood, diabetes educator and
Lorraine Devereaux,
dietician at the hospital will
give you lots of information.

Hensall's water
requires ministry
app royal first
Ontario Ministry of Environment approval is required before
Hensall's well water problems can be resolved.
Bluewater Public Works Manager Ross Fisher hopes to give
contractor Ron Hopper the go-ahead to start the process of
connecting to Well 4 in two or three weeks, after MOE's
Certificate of Approval is received. Council hired Hopper to
do the work for a quote of $46,092.18 (excluding
engineering and unforeseen costs).
Fisher said Well 1 will also be taken out of commission,
reserviced and then put back on line so it and Well 4 will
serve water to the entire community of Hensall.
In a related matter, the municipality refused an offer from a
Bayfield property owner to buy one of the municipality's
well lots now used as a water station on Cameron Street that.
will soon be defunct. Council decided to not sell any well
lots until they decide what to do with other well lots that will
be decommissioned.

the board and that this
in turn could result in a
successful legal action
by the board against the
dissenting trustee,
perhaps by some
application of bad faith
principles.
It is very hard for me
to fathom that a trustee,
who was in some
measure instrumental in
causing a board to act
according to the law,
would be then punished
by that same system of
law.
Intolerance of the
dissenting view is an
unacceptable position
for any elected body to
take.

I have not heard or seen
