WHITMORE
We wish to express our thanks to the
Seaforth and District Fire Dept. for
their prompt response to our 911 call
on Thanksgiving weekend. We
appreciated how professionally they
went about their work in isolating the
fire source and minimizing the dam-
age in this process. As well, we say
thank you to friends and neighbours
who provided food, help and accom-
modation. In particular, we appreci-
ated the pillar of support that
Gordon and Irma provided that
night and the next morning. The
thoughtfulness of all concerned will
always be remembered. - The
Whitmore Family 47-42-1

I hope it will be nifty to be fifty.
Thanks again. - Dianne 47-42-1

Children blessed
at special mass
Dublin
What a thrill for St.
Patrick's Church, Dublin, on
Oct. 7 when a special Mass
of St. Therese of the Little
Flower was enjoyed by a
large crowd of
parishioners along
with guests.
This Mass was
compiled by Dan
Rutledge from
London - a close
friend of Father
Maurice
Charbonneau,
The organist and
choir did a superb
job.
Just before Mpss,
three parishioners,
walked to the front
with small children.
After Father Charbonneau
blessed the children, they
stood in front of the altar
and presented him with a
"Happy Thanksgiving"
banner they had made, and
wished us all a Happy
Thanksgiving.
On Thanksgiving Day,
Oct. 8, another Mass of
Thanksgiving was held. A
good crowd attended.
Don and Eileen MacRae
spent the weekend with
David and Sharon Jelling in
Meaford and attended the
baptism of their great
grandson, Zachery
Ronald Wren, baby
son of Rod and
Jennifer Wren in
Owen Sound
Lutheran Church on
Oct. 13.
The MacRaes
attended the wedding
of Jennifer MacRae
(daughter of J.D. and
Marg MacRae) and
Matthew Hoy in
London on Oct. 12 in
St, Pines Catholic
Church at 7 p.m.
Uncle Michael MacRae
from Dublin, piped the bride
and her father into the
church and piped Jennifer
and Matthew out of the
church to the reception.
Happy birthday to
Michelle Dixon, who
celebrated yesterday, Oct.
16.
