Centenaires to hold Oktoberfest dinner dance
The Seaforth Centenaires
will be hosting an
Oktoberfest all you can eat
Dinner and Dance on
Saturday, Oct. 20.
The -menu will include ribs,
pigtails, chicken, sausage,
salad, potatoes and much
more.
Dinner will be served from
6 to 8:30 p.m, then dance
from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the
Seaforth and District
Community Centres.
Tickets will cost $25 per
person for both the dinner
and dance in advance or $30
at the door.
Recreation preview
If you wish to come to the
dance only admission will be
$10 at the door. Tickets are
available at Cardno's Men's
Wear, Pete's Paper Clip,
Archie's Service Centre or
any Centenaire executive
member.

The Huron County Historical Society is holding their
annual dinner meeting on Oct. 26 in Blyth. Paul Carroll will
be the guest speaker. Tickets are available at 565-5200 or
262-2715.
The Hensall and District Horticultural Society bonus bulbs
for members are now available. Call 262-2715 for pick-up.
The PCW of Carmel Church met on Monday evening with
President Marlene Bell presiding. Dorothy Taylor conducted
the worship and also accompanied the hymn sing.
Treasurer Marg Baker gave the financial report. Secretary
Jan Baker read the minutes from previous meetings which
were adopted as read.
A thank you note from Jacqui Krech was read regarding
the hats donated for cancer children. Doreen Anderson
donated over 100 hand-knit hats to this project.
Marlene read a timely poem and closed the meeting with
prayer. Lunch was served by Marg Varley and Lola Nixon.
Come out and visit with your friends or make new friends
at the Hensall and Area Community Drop -In. Our next drop-
in will be held Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Hensall arena. We
begin our day with foot care.
Please contact Faye Skinner at Town and Country Support
Services at 235-0258 if you are interested in scheduling an
appointment. Lunch will be served at noon. Following
lunch, Carole Gascho will entertain us.
The cost is $5 per person. If required, transportation can
be provided. To make reservations, contact Marg Cole at
262-2304 or Faye Skinner at 235-0258 by noon on Monday,
Oct. 15. This event is sponsored by Town and Country
Support Services and local volunteers.

weekend on Saturday, Oct.
13 and Sunday, Oct. 14 with
a unique format with the
emphasis on participation.
Quads, sleds and bikes
compete in a range of
activities with classes
available for all levels of
ability.
For Quads it starts at 10
a.m. Saturday when racers
pull the trigger in four -lane
head to head grass drags,
then they go nuts in hare
scrambles mayhem.
