C. Wilkin, of, St. Thomas, spent the week -end with the latter's mother, Mrs. Ma,rsh.all. Mr. S. Powell returned home last week aftei; vsiting in Dresden, Thamesville, St. Thomas and Lon- don. Mrs. Chas Box, of Stephen, left last week for Detroit, where she will visit with her daughter, Mrs. Nor; man .Ford. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Box and family, of- Parkhill, Spent Sunday with the former's uncle, Mr. Chas, Box, of Stephen. Mr. and Mrs. John Keys have re- turned to Exeter- after spending some Months in London with their daugh- ter, who is in poor health. Rev. E. Sheppard is in Hamilton this week owing to the illness of his mother. Mrs. Sheppard is vsiting with her sister at Pt. Huron. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Martin and family and Mr. and Mrs. S. Martin motored to Goderich and visited with Mr. and Mrs. I. Salkeld on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. Bon- ney and daughter, motored up from London and spent Sunday with Miss Taylor and Mr. C. T. Brooks on St. baseball league is being formed for this season in South Huron. if Exeter or any other town wishes to join the league some action should be taken in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McKenzie and son Beverley, of London, spent the week -end with Mrs. McKenzie's mother, Mrs. Beverley. The latter vreistiutrned with them to London. to Miss Alice Handford has returned home from Windsor where she ,was called owing to the serious Hines's of her sister, Mrs. Thornton, who was suffering from pneumonia. The lat- ter is much improved. Miss Cowan returner:to her home at Atwood on Friday after assisting Miss Yelland, milliner, 'for the past month. Miss Essery, who has been home owing to the illness of her mother, has resumed her duties. Mrs. W. J. Melville -underwent an operation for the removal of a large abscess on theoside of her neck on Thursday morning last, from which she had suffered for a couple of weeks or more. She is now im- proving nicely. Mother's Day will be observed in the various churches and Sunday schools next Sunday. Wear a flower or a ribbon in honor of mother. If you are away from home write a letter, send a telegram -or . better still a bouquet of flowers. Mrs. John Routledge and son Bobbie, visited for a week with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wni.
