Bob and Ruth Duffy
celebrated their 50th
Wedding Anniversary at
Mass and renewed their
marriage vows, celebrated
by Father Tony Daniels in
St. Columban Church.
The large gathering of
family, relatives,
neighbours and friends was
greeted at the church by
Crystal Duffy and Melissa
Finlayson. The ushers were
Robert Duffy and Daryl
Hulley. The lectors were
Andrea Finlayson,
Alexandria Rowland and
Jacob Duffy. Stacey Van
Roessel, James Duffy,
Nicole Duffy, Jaclyn Hulley
and Michelle Duffy led the
Prayers of the Faithful and
Brittany Hulley, Samantha
Rowland, Jenny Duffy and
Jennifer Duffy presented
the gifts in the Offertory
Procession.
The music was provided
by Geordie Barnett who
sang the Processional and
the St. Columban Choir.
Following Mass, an Open
House to mark the occasion
was held at the Seaforth
Legion. Among those in
attendance were: Randy and
Debbie Duffy, Crystal and
her fiance, Jeff, Jennifer,
Michelle, Robert, Nicole
and James, Spruce Grove,
Alberta; Bill Duffy,
Mitchell; Marion and Jim
Finlayson, Melissa and her
fiance Jason, Andrea and
Sarah; Cathy and Paul
Hulley, Jaclyn, Daryl,
Breanne and Brittany;
Jeanette and Bernie
Reigger, Samantha,
Alexandria and Hannah,
Stoney Plain, Alberta;
Barbara and Ed Van
Roessel, Stacey and Scott,
Staffa; Tom and Mandy
Duffy, Jacob and Jenny;
Eileen and Bob Nash, Jared

Several local people
travelled to Kitchener to
celebrated with Leo and
Kay Ryan, former residents
. of the area, who marked the
occasion of their 50th
Wedding Anniversary with
Murray
anniversary
Mass celebrated at St.
Aloysius Church,
Kitchener. Anne Marie and
Madonna McQuaid
contributed to the
celebration with beautiful
instrumental violin music.
Paddy Woods and Dolly
McQuaid presented the
gifts in the Offertory
Procession.
A reception followed
where many family
members, relatives and
friends gathered. One of the
highlights of the evening
was the reminiscing and
storytelling including
stories of tiny, moveable
houses; the cottage; hockey
games and euchre games;
lost passports; fencing and
construction tales and tales
of unbroken eggs.
Sister Rita Coyne,
Windsor, visited with Ken
and Mary Coyne and
family.
Keith and Patty Murray
and Kelly, Ottawa, visited
with relatives in the area.
Tom and Lynn Burke
recently visited her brother,
Reg Swart, in Nepean,
Ontario.
