HomeMy WebLinkAboutHuron Expositor, 2002-04-24, Page 146 -THE HURON EXPOSITOR, May f, 2001 MIMMINSIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED PLAN OF CONDOMINIUM IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST TUCHERSMITH WARD TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the County of Huron and the Council of the Municipality of Huron East will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipality of Huron East Council Chambers (located at 72 Main St., Seaforth) to consider a proposed plan of condominium and proposed zoning amendment under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed plan of condominium. Written submissions are to be made to the addresses below. IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files an appeal of a decision of the County of Huron in respect to the proposed plan of condominium does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Council of Huron before the proposed plan of condominium is approved or refused, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the County of Huron in respect of this proposed plan of condominium, you must make a written request to the County of Huron at the address below. Box 610 Seaforth, ON NOK 1WO (519) 527-0160 DESCRIPTION, PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The proposed plan of condominium (The Bridges of Seaforth) affects part of Lots 8, 9, & 10, Conc. 2 H.R.S., the Municipality of Huron East - Tuckersmith Ward. The land is within the urban area of the Municipality of Huron East - Tuckersmith Ward, pursuant to O.P.A. #284. The development is adjacent to the Seaforth Golf Club. This development was originally presented in September of 2000 as a plan of subdivision. The change' to plan of condominium is now being presented by the applicants. This change represents a change in the form of ownership in that the roads and services will now be owned by the condominium corporation; the private community centre will be owned and operated by the owners in the condominium corporation. The private roads will permit the travel of golf carts to and from the adjacent golf course. The roads and services will be built to municipal standards. The individuals lots and houses will be owned by the individual homeowners, The plan of condominium proposes the creation of 263 units flar single family residential development. The development is intended to be serviced by a sewer system connected to the municipal system. The water supply is intended to be a piped water system connected to the municipal system. The internal roads for this development are intended to be private roads. Storm drainage is to be provided through storm sewers and storm water management detention facilities. The VR8 zone, as considered at the public meeting on October 17, 2000, is a special zone designed with specific provisions for this development. The development is a total of 26.6 ha (65.7ac) with the following proportions: 13.4 ha (33ac) in residential units; 6.15 ha (15.2ac) in road; 6.92 ha (17ac) in blocks and reserves; and .1 ha (.25ac) in walkways.
