Grand ladies
and gents attend
Manor dance
wearing Easter hats
Seaforth Manor Nursing Home
There were no grander
ladies or gents in any
Easter parade than were at
our April Easter Dance
with Marie Flynn and the
Huron Strings, thanks to
the generosity of all who
donatec) hats for our
residents to decorate.
Everyone had lots of fun,
"shopping" for the perfect
hat, then adorning them
with ribbons, bows,
netting, flowers and Easter
eggs to create their own
masterpiece.
Many stories of new
Easter hats of years gone
by had everyone
remembering those
wonderful days.
Residents also enjoyed
finding Easter eggs on
Easter Sunday morning at
their place in the dining
room.
We also enjoyed
wonderful Palm Sunday
and Easter Sunday services
with our local clergy. A
Lawrence Welk Easter
video, composed of some
beautiful old Easter hymns
was a special treat.
Residents also watched a
Bible Story video of The
Easter Story.
We were happy to begin
supplying meals for the
Meals on Wheels program
which began in Seaforth
this past month.
As well, we welcomed
the participants in the
Palliative Care Level I
course being offered at the
Manor by the Huron
Hospice.
Our musical
entertainment for April
included Carol Carter,
Marie Flynn and the Huron
Strings, Gloria Wilbee, The
Swinging Seniors, Marian
Rose and Carol LeBeau
and Bill Pepper.
We also welcomed
members of otir clergy,
Rev. Dino Salvador, Rev.
Sheila Macgregor, Rev.
Judith Springett and Rev.
Nick Vandermey as well as
