Residents decorate bonnets for Easter
Residents are enjoying getting
out of their coats for their first
spring walk outdoors. We hope the
temperature warms up a bit. We
are looking forward to decorating our Easter bonnets this
week.
We had a wonderful response from our requests for hats
from the community. We are also beginning to decorate eggs
for our egg tree.
Residents are enjoying our Lenten church services leading
up to our Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday services.
Although many of our activities were cancelled due to
illness during the first half of March, we did manage to
celebrate St. Patrick's Day in fine Irish fashion with a
delicious wine and cheese party, a special dance with Gladys
Van Egmond and Her Merry Makers and a lovely Lawrence
Welk St. Patrick's Day video.
All residents received a special St. Patrick's Day card and a
treat of "mint smoothies." Our Tribute to Hawaii saw our
staff decked out in some great outfits to get everyone in the
holiday spirit. Hawaiian decorations and leis had everyone in
the mood for our Travelogue to Honolulu and Maui, which
was followed by delicious Hawaiian pizza for all.
This was great fun and sure to be a repeat activity next
year.
