The Homes for the Aged requires an individual to provide
practical nursing and personal care while transporting
residents to various appointments. The successful candidate
must be willing to perform other duties between driving trips
as needed under the direction of the Director of Resident Care
or Charge Nurse.
This is a casual part-time position. The hours are flexible with
usually 32 hours plus per pay period, in 4 or 8 hour shifts.
Qualifications:
• "G" Drivers Licence, "F" preferred and good driving record
• Current PSW, HCA or UPN Certificate
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience with the elderly an asset

GODKIN, Ida Alvina: of Huronview
and formerly of Vama and Clinton
passed away on Feb. 18, 2001.
She was 88. She was born in
Stanley Township on June 12,
1912, and was the daughter of the
late Christian and Annie (Baechler)
Gingerich. Mrs. Godkin was the
beloved wife of the late Ernest
McClinchey (1967) and the late
Edmund Godkin (1983). She was
the dear mother of Stanley and
Dorene Gingerich of Waterloo, Bill
and Fay McClinchey of Clinton, and
Joan and Don Bell of Clinton. Mrs.
Godkin was the stepmother of
Lavem and Marion Godkin of R.R.
1, Walton, Olene and Murray
Dennis of R.R. 1, Walton, Audrey
and Lloyd Beuermann of RR 3,
Mitchell, Merle and James Bums of
Samia, Lois and Glenn Sinclair of
Essex and June Andrews of
Cooksville. She was loved by sev-
eral grandchildren, great grandchil-
dren, step grandchildren and step
great grandchildren. Mrs. Godkin
was the dear sister and sister-in-
law of Anna Erb of Zurich, Ephriam
and Elsie Gingerich of RR 2 Zurich,
Eleanor Gingerich of London and
Bemice McClinchey of Blyth. She
was predeceased by step son
Mervin Godkin, sisters Lydia
Steckle, Mary Steckle, Edna
Johnston and Margaret Soper and
brother Simon Gingerich. Mrs.
Godkin was a member of Ontario
Street United Church, and a past
member of Vama United Church
and Vama UCW. She will be well
remembered for her business in
Vama, for many years of baking
and selling goods to the local com-
munity and many visitors to the
area. Visitation was held at the
Beattie -Falconer Funeral Home,
Clinton on Feb. 19. The funeral ser-
vice was held on Feb. 20 at 2:30
p.m. with Rev. Robert Biggar offici-
ating. Leona McBride played a spe-
cial tribute to Ida, playing Amazing
Grace and Why Me Lord.
Honourary pallbearers were Mark
Bell, Bryan Gingerich, Nicholas
Bell, Gary Godkin, John
Wakabuyashi and Brad Burns.
Flower bearers Marnie McClinchey-
Hill, Deanna Bell, Sharon Godkin,
Lisa Beuermann and Allison
Sinclair. As expressions of sympa-
thy, donations to the Osteoporosis
Society, Ontario Street United
Church or Clinton Public Hospital
Foundation would be greatly appre-

LOGAN, Martha: Martha (Storey)
Logan of Brussels, passed away at
her residence on Monday, February
19th, 2001. She was in her 86th
year. Bom in Seaforth on July 1,
1915, Martha was the daughter of
the late Thomas and Catherine
Storey and the beloved wife of the
late Alvin James Logan whom she
married on January 5, 1940. Martha
attended school in Seaforth and
was active with swimming, skating,
baseball and hockey. She moved to
Toronto for a short time and when
her and Alvin were married they
moved to Brussels where they both
raised their family of four boys.
Martha enjoyed crafts, knitting, tak-
ing part in skits and acting in plays.
She was quite involved with the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion, serv-
ing on the executive, served as
convener and played on many dart
teams. In September of 1986, when
Alvin passed away, Martha moved
across the road to the Maple Villa
Apartments, She was very active
with organizing social activities in
the building such as Meals on
Wheels, card games and afternoon
teas. A very independent, caring
woman who quietly was a part of
many people's lives. She never
intruded, but you knew you could
always come to her. She will be
sadly missed by her sons Doug
Logan and his wife Carolyn of
Brampton, Jack Logan and his wife
Carol of Devon, Alberta and Dave
Logan of Vancouver, B.C. Dear
grandma of Scott, Bradley, Melissa,
Doug and Sarah. Also missed by
her sisters-in-law Mildred Spading
of St. Marys and Marguerite Reid of
Houghton, Michigan. Predeceased
by her son James Wayne Logan. At
Martha's request there was no
funeral home visitation. Cremation
had taken place. A Ladies Legion
Auxiliary service was held immedi-
ately prior to the memorial service
conducted from the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home, Brussels, on
Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 1
p.m. with Reverend Cathrine
Campbell of Melville Presbyterian
Church offjciating. As an expression
of sympathy, In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
or to the Canadian Diabetes

42. Deaths
GODKIN, Ida Alvina: of Huronview
and formerly of Vama and Clinton
passed away on Feb. 18, 2001.
She was 88. She was born in
Stanley Township on June 12,
1912, and was the daughter of the
late Christian and Annie (Baechler)
Gingerich. Mrs. Godkin was the
beloved wife of the late Ernest
McClinchey (1967) and the late
Edmund Godkin (1983). She was
the dear mother of Stanley and
Dorene Gingerich of Waterloo, Bill
and Fay McClinchey of Clinton, and
Joan and Don Bell of Clinton. Mrs.
Godkin was the stepmother of
Lavem and Marion Godkin of R.R.
1, Walton, Olene and Murray
Dennis of R.R. 1, Walton, Audrey
and Lloyd Beuermann of RR 3,
Mitchell, Merle and James Bums of
Samia, Lois and Glenn Sinclair of
Essex and June Andrews of
Cooksville. She was loved by sev-
eral grandchildren, great grandchil-
dren, step grandchildren and step
great grandchildren. Mrs. Godkin
was the dear sister and sister-in-
law of Anna Erb of Zurich, Ephriam
and Elsie Gingerich of RR 2 Zurich,
Eleanor Gingerich of London and
Bemice McClinchey of Blyth. She
was predeceased by step son
Mervin Godkin, sisters Lydia
Steckle, Mary Steckle, Edna
Johnston and Margaret Soper and
brother Simon Gingerich. Mrs.
Godkin was a member of Ontario
Street United Church, and a past
member of Vama United Church
and Vama UCW. She will be well
remembered for her business in
Vama, for many years of baking
and selling goods to the local com-
munity and many visitors to the
area. Visitation was held at the
Beattie -Falconer Funeral Home,
Clinton on Feb. 19. The funeral ser-
vice was held on Feb. 20 at 2:30
p.m. with Rev. Robert Biggar offici-
ating. Leona McBride played a spe-
cial tribute to Ida, playing Amazing
Grace and Why Me Lord.
Honourary pallbearers were Mark
Bell, Bryan Gingerich, Nicholas
Bell, Gary Godkin, John
Wakabuyashi and Brad Burns.
Flower bearers Marnie McClinchey-
Hill, Deanna Bell, Sharon Godkin,

thy, donations to the Osteoporosis

LOGAN, Martha: Martha (Storey)
Logan of Brussels, passed away at
her residence on Monday, February
19th, 2001. She was in her 86th
year. Bom in Seaforth on July 1,
1915, Martha was the daughter of
the late Thomas and Catherine
Storey and the beloved wife of the
late Alvin James Logan whom she
married on January 5, 1940. Martha
attended school in Seaforth and
was active with swimming, skating,
baseball and hockey. She moved to
Toronto for a short time and when
her and Alvin were married they
moved to Brussels where they both
raised their family of four boys.
Martha enjoyed crafts, knitting, tak-
ing part in skits and acting in plays.
She was quite involved with the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion, serv-
ing on the executive, served as
convener and played on many dart
teams. In September of 1986, when
Alvin passed away, Martha moved
across the road to the Maple Villa
Apartments, She was very active
with organizing social activities in
the building such as Meals on
Wheels, card games and afternoon
teas. A very independent, caring
woman who quietly was a part of
many people's lives. She never
intruded, but you knew you could
always come to her. She will be
sadly missed by her sons Doug
Logan and his wife Carolyn of
Brampton, Jack Logan and his wife
Carol of Devon, Alberta and Dave
Logan of Vancouver, B.C. Dear
grandma of Scott, Bradley, Melissa,
Doug and Sarah. Also missed by
her sisters-in-law Mildred Spading
of St. Marys and Marguerite Reid of
Houghton, Michigan. Predeceased
by her son James Wayne Logan. At
Martha's request there was no
funeral home visitation. Cremation
had taken place. A Ladies Legion
Auxiliary service was held immedi-
ately prior to the memorial service
conducted from the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home, Brussels, on
Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 1
p.m. with Reverend Cathrine
Campbell of Melville Presbyterian
Church offjciating. As an expression
of sympathy, In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
or to the Canadian Diabetes
Association. 42-09-1
