46. In Memoriam
BEUERMAN
In loving memory of our dear father,
father-in-law and Papa, Alvin E.
who was called home ten years
ago, November 18, 1991.
One day as we were chatting,
There was knocking at the door,
We begged you not to answer,
But you knew what it was for.
God said he had a special job,
That would be just for you,
"My charges need a, guardian
angel,"
A job he knew you could do.
Now that you are gone,
There is so much you miss,
Laura's funny faces, Melissa's gen-
tle kiss.
We seldom ask for miracles,
But today just one would do,
To have our front door open,
And see our Dad walk through.
- Memories for a lifetime. Loved for
eternity. Your family. 46-46x1
BEUERMAN: In loving memory of a
dear husband Alvin Beuerman who
passed away 10 years ago,
November 18, 1991. •
The moment that you died,
My heart split in two,
The one side filled with memories,
The other died with you.
I think of you in silence,
I always speak your name,
For all I have are memories,
And your picture in a frame.
They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal.
But neither time nor reason,
Helps the emptiness I feel.
For no one knows the heartache,
That lies behind the smile.
No one knows how many times,
I've broken down and cried,
I want to tell you something,
So there won't be any doubt,
You're so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without.
- Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by wife Hazel 46-46-1

LESLIE: In loving memory of our
husband and father, Curly who
passed away November 13, 1999.
So many things have happened,
In the two years you've been gone,
And not to have you here with us,
Seems so unfair and wrong.
But God had other plans for you,
He wanted you to rest.
And we trust in him because we
know,
He only takes the best.
- Lovingly remembered and still
missed. - Louise, Craig and Carrie.

Health Unit
urges flu shots
With the cold weather here
and people spending more
time indoors, the Huron
County Health Unit is
getting ready for the second
year of free influenza
vaccinations for everyone.
The Health Unit is urging all
Huron County residents to
consider getting vaccinated
against influenza this fall.
Influenza (the flu) is a highly
contagious viral infection of
the nose, throat, and lungs. A
high fever, bad cough, chills,
sore throat, aches and pains
and weakness can cause
someone with influenza to be
in bed for up to 10 days.
The flu quickly spreads
from person to person by air -
born droplets carried in a
cough or a sneeze. The
influenza virus can survive
up to 48 hours on things like
telephone receivers,
computer keyboards,
doorknobs and toys. Those
infected with influenza can
be contagious for a day
before their symptoms
appear, and up to a week
after symptoms.
A new flu vaccine is made
each year to fight thc
expected viruses for the
coming season. It provides
very good protection for 70
per cent of people who get
thc flu shot. For others who
receive the vaccine, it can
reduce thc severity of illness
and help you get back to
work faster. A flu shot is
needed every year to protect
you from getting the flu.
Last year, about 40 per
cent of Huron County
residents received their flu
shot. The health unit hopes
to bet that number this year.
See your doctor or call the
Huron County Health Unit at
482-3416 (or 1-877-837-
6143 if long distance) or
more information.
