the Hensall United Church women drew
a good crowd on Monday afternoon.
Residents are enjoying this program
each Monday afternoon in May.
Shirley Luther representing the
Salvation Army led the Tuesday church
service with Belva.Fuss as volunteer
pianist. It was wonderful to have so
many visitors share in our service. We
always welcome company.
Wednesday morning volunteer Betty
Simmons assisted residents at Breakfast
Group, where residents decide on the
menu and watch while it's prepared and
served family -style. Melons, cheddar
cheese, sausage, blueberry pancakes
with syrup and lots of coffee, tea and
juice completed the menu.
Lorraine
Brock was
also in
Wednesday
for euchre with several enthusiasts.
Scrabble drew some interested
participants as well.
Residents are also benefitting from
restorative care with staff member
Sharon Martin. New games and exercise
routines are being implemented and on
days with beautiful weather residents
have had their morning fun and fitness
outdoors on the deck. The fresh air and
sunshine seems to give added vigor to
everyone.
Marie Flynn on piano was the
featured entertainment at Friendship
Friday in the retirement home lounge
Friday evening. The lounge was filled
with residents eager to hear Marie and
even sing along to some of the tunes.
