The play explores events leading up to the murder of live members of the Donnellys family from Lucan in February, 1880. "We're looking for a wide variety of people," said Artistic Director Anne Chislett. "If you are as intrigued by the Donnellys as we are, come to our information meeting," she said in a press release. The information meeting will be held at the Bainton Gallery in Blyth on Thursday, February 15 at 7 p.m. People interested in taking part can contact the Blyth Festival box office at 523-9300. Former Blyth Festival Artistic Director Janet Amos will be organizing the ' volunteer contingent. The theatre hopes to have as many as 70 volunteer performers and production assistants complimenting the professional cast of eight. The Outdoor Donnellys will run June 15 - July1. 26. Contact Denise for details. The South-West Gospel - Aires present a concert on April 22 at 7 p.m. at Hensall United Church. At Hensall Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy's message was "Living For Today or Living For Tomorrow". The organist was Joyce Pepper. Marg Baker looked after the church school. The offering was received by Al Hoggarth and Harry Smith. The PCW of Hensall Carmel Presbyterian Church met on Feb. 5. President Marlene Bell welcomed everyone and Marg Varley had the worship with the theme "First Love." The guest speaker was Jacqui Krech from "Hats Off for Cancer." Jacqui explained how we can provide warmth and dignity for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatments. Jacqui showed us the many types of hats that are suitable for non -knitters and explained the types of caps kids like. Many hats are needed to distribute to kids aged newborn to nineteen throughout Canada. Everyone is encouraged to help. Please contact Marlene Bell at 263-6349 for patterns and more information.
