"Stonely has played outstanding in his last couple of starts, so we'll be all right while we wait on Chuck," said coach Art Larivee. The Irish power play went 4 for 5 on the night which coaching staff attributed to Seaforth's slow start. "We stood and watched through the first period," said Papple. "No hustle, no stops and starts." The Cents look to move up in the standings as playoff spots begin to take shape, travelling to Port Stanley on Friday and hosting Mitchell on Sunday at 8 p.m. Teams defeats Trojans, 7-4, take on Mitchell Sunday The Cents were in Thamesford Friday, challenging the league - leading Trojans in Junior D action. Seaforth came up with their best effort of the season, trying to climb to the top of the Morenz division stunning the Trojans with a 7-4 victory. Matt Roberts, Scott Henderson (2), Aaron Parsons (2), AJ Larivee and Tim Sills, scored in the win. It was Sills' first game back from vacation and he answered questions regarding his play with an excellent effort back on a line with JD Nolan and Jeff Arnold. The team was without coach Jason Papple due to work commitments and the team's excellent performance without him suggested it was perhaps coaching that had been stifling Nolan and not Sills. General Manager, Dave Parsons was tight lipped Peewees gtt:to. semi-final round at Silver stick The Seaforth PeeWees made to the semi-final round of the Kincardine Silver Stick Tournament held Dec. 27-29 before being stopped by a Mitchell team in a close game. Seaforth defeated Walkerton 4-1 in its first game with goals scored by Mike McLaughlin (2), Matt Carnoclfan and Jared O'Rourke. Game 2 saw the squad taking on Exter and leaving them scoreless with two goals of their own from Mike McLaughlin and Dave Chesell. Mark Wilbee, who was in net for the tournament with Matt Devereaux, earned that shutout. Game 3 saw Seaforth take its first loss to the hometown team of Kincardine with a 1-0 score. But it was enough for the team to advance to the semi-finals where they lost to Mitchell, 1-0. about the situation saying only that "the team is having success right now," leaving it at that. Sunday, the Cents hosted Lucan in a division battle in what proved to be an exciting game with a 17 - goal outburst. Parsons set up Henderson with a cross ice pass to open the scoring but Lucan answered back with three consecutive power play goals to take a 3-1 lead into the second period. The teams exchanged scoring opportunities in the second as a run -and - gun game developed. Seaforth chipped away at the Irish lead, trailing 7- 6 starting the third period. Jeff Maccuspey evened the game on a blast from the point and went ahead on a goal by Sills before a bad pinch allowed the Irish to even the score with three minutes to go.
