MORRISON: In memory of Ralph
who lett us on December 31, 1999.
You are always in our hearts and in
our thoughts.
The light from your eyes
Lives on in my mind
The sound of your voice
Still talks to me at night
In my memories I have captured
The moment in time
When you first touched my life.
The laughter of children
A home and family
Your hopes and desires
Become reality
I know dreams can last forever
And wherever you may be
I hope that you'll find peace
There are no goodbyes
Just ignore all these tears that I've
cried
We'll meet again
Some other place, another time
Until then please remember...
There are no good byes.
The year has gone on
But your memory still bums bright
It seems like just yesterday
When I had you in my life
I'll keep your candle buming on
'Cause I know there'll come a time
When the world will see it shine.
There are no good byes
Just ignore all these tears we have
cried
We'll meet again
Some other place, another time
Until then please remember....
There are no good byes.

`Cheat' on tap at
Family fun night
4
St. Columban
People of all ages gathered in an evening enjoying fun, food
and fellowship at the Family Fun Night held in the St.
Columban Parish Hall recently.
While the many that were there engaged in fun games of
euchre and "cheat," there were board games of all
descriptions, a horse race game played for the sheer fun of
watching pennies move along a board and a lively game of
"spoons'added to the entertainment of the evening.
An overflowing pot luck snack table was enjoyed by all.
The young people of the area have been enjoying their
post -Christmas holidays with a variety of activities ranging
from snowmobiling, to swimming at Vanastra, to learning
how to operate new computers received as Christmas gifts.
Hockey and skating are also popular pastimes.
Several local families gathered at the Knights of Columbus
Hall to enjoy a New Year's'Eve celebration together. The
highlight was a "Balloon Drop" at midnight to mark the
entrance of the year 2001. Others from the area attended one
of the many dances held to bring in the New Year.
Lisa Murray and her friend, Paul Colesbrook, visited with
her mother, Claire Murray, and have returned to Calgary,
Alberta.
Visiting over the holidays with Bill and Luella Murphy and
Kevin were Karen Murphy, London and Janet Murphy and
friend, Todd, from Kitchener.
