SON IS XXILLED WHILE
HUNTING RAIBMTS
A sad tragedy took place in Ste-
phen Township on; ,.Tuesday after-
noon when Robert, 10 -year old son
of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Deit-
rieh, of the 12th Concession, was
shot and instantly killed b bis fath.
.
,fir, There was no school in the
afternoon and Mr. Deitrich in cop.,
panY with ,Jos. Regier and a couple
of lads went hunting rabbits. On-
ly the men had guns, Robert carry-
ing the ammunition. When the
tragedy occurred a rabbit was seen
and Mr. Regier fired a shot. He
then called to Mr. Deitrich to shoot,
Robert, it is thought, darted out to
give Mr, Regier more ammunition
and received the charge in the head
Just above the ear., The boy died
instantly. Coroner P. O'Dwyer, of

C. N. R. FREIGHT SHEDS-'
. BROKEN LVTO
Sometime between Friday' night
and Saturday morning thieves en-
tered the C.N.R. freight. sheds and
laid in . a supply of confections for
the Christmas season. Entrance
was gained -to the sheds by prying
an iron bar from an office window.
Among the things stolen was some
candy, sweet biscuits and other
confections. A' case of tomato cat-
sup
atsup was pried open and the contents
taken while another case ok sauer-
kraut was opened and the contents
left behind. The merchandise was
valued at between. $75 and. $100.
The railway station was also entered
and a small sum of money was tak-
en. from ,the till. Last year about
the same time a similar theft oc-
curred. In. fact this is the third or,
fourth time within the' past few
years and it is . suspected that the
same party is implicated. Resi-
dents near, by report that they heard
a motor car about 3 a.m. and again
at 4, nacesumably marking the ar-
rival and departure of the visitors.
Provincial Constable Whitesides
was here on Saturday investigating
the case.

The London conference. The choir

suitable 'for the oeeas1m and were
ably assisted by Miss Brown, of

the congregations: In the after-

In the evening Mr. Thomson took
for his text the latter part of the
Lord's prayer "For thine is the
Kingdom, the Power anc't the Glory,"
The :speaker said that there were
few words more on the lips of Jesus

dom, my kingdom. As Jesus went
up . and down continually talking
about. his kingdom and the kingdom
of God, the Jews smiled. Jesus
went to the cross and nothing had
come of his kingdom. Finally the
