Cinderella's stepsister steals a Prized andel
Once upon a time a long
time ago. there lived a girl
named Cinderella. This year
for Christmas. Cinderella
was holding.a big Christmas
hall. It was going to be
fantastic! All of the
cotitmunity had been invited.
Everyone from Ariel, out of
the sea. to Sleeping Beauty.
Maggie's
Christmas wish
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Maggie. Her
family wasn't as fortunate as other families that lived in her
apartment building. There were 8 people in Maggie's family.
Seven kids and Maggie's dad. Alfred (Maggie's dad) worked
as a shoe mender. He didn't get very many customers. because
there was a big company in town that mended shoes for
people and the mayor owned the company so -most of the
townspeople didn't go -to Maggie's father's small business that
only had three people;in it. Usually Maggie and her brothers
and sisters only -got one present from Santa Claus. Maggie's
father Alfred never gave the children presents for Christmas.
'One day When Maggie got to school there was a little girl
that looked hungry and cold. Maggie asked her, if she was
hungry and wanted something to eat. The little girl said that
4 she would be fine until supper at her house and would
probably eat a sandwich and that a sandwich was a lot at her
.house. Maggie thought that it was a little odd that the little girl
didn't.have a lunch and said that she would probably eat a
sandwich at supper.
• One day when Maggie was walking home from school she
walked passed the place where you sign your kids up for the
"Huron County Christmas Bureau." •
She thought that she saw her father there hut she thought it
was just her imagination. At supper that night Maggie asked
her father it' he had any customers that day. He said that he
had -two customers.
There were two more days until Christmas. Maggie had
become friends with the little girl that she had met in the
schoolyard that day. Maggie found out that her family was
even less fortunate than her own. -
One night Maggie saw a shooting star and wished that
Alison (her friend) could go to the North Pole with her and
see Santa Claus. The next morning Maggie woke up and _she
found herself bundled up next to Alison in a snow covered
land. They started walking and they found a house .and a
workshop and then they saw a building marked "Santa's Mail
Room." They went into it and found an old man in a red suit
reading letters he said. "Well girls I've been expecting you."
'the girls ran to the old man and asked him if he was Santa
Claus. He was and he was waiting for them. Then they took a
-tour around the -North -Pole. It was Christmas Eve and Maggie
and Alison were getting excited. Santa said that he would
drop the girls off when he was delivering gifts in Clinton.
That night Maggie and Alison had the'•best Christmas Eve
ever. 'not just because they got to go and visit.the North Pole
and see Santa Claus but because the.people.of Huron County
shared what .they had so that everyone could have a great
Christmas. --
