Matt Teatero, Grade 6 A merry Christmas after all Once upon a time, • 'In the Land of Rhyme, Lived a little boy named Timmy, And his twin sister named Kimmy. In this land, all was merry and bright, Until it came upon one Christmas night. , When for some strange reason, It turned out to be an 'un - merry' season, For Santa Claus did not show! "Was it because of all the snow?" "That can't be it. Oh no, oh no!" "Maybe Rudolph's nose wouldn't glow?" "Maybe Santa's stick and is a wheezing?" "Well, whatever the reason," Said Timmy to his sibling, "We must find Santa, the Christmas King! Arid I know we can!" "Then what is your plan?" Asked his loving sister, Kimmy, "Well, it's obvious," said Timmy, "That if we clitnb to the top of Fairy Tale Mountain, • And visit the sacred Fairy Tale Fountain, •He will surely know where Santa has gone!" "Well what are we waiting for?" asked Kimmy, "Come on!" So off they went with a jingle, In search of good old Chris Cringle. And up they scaled higher than high, Meeting characters such as Little Jack Horner with his pie, Little Miss Muffett, Wee Willie Winkie, Little Boy Blue and Humpty Dumpty. When alas they reached the top of the mountain, And there in front of them was the Fairy Tale Fountain. "Where, oh where has Santa Claus gone? • For when we woke up on Christmas dawn, Santa was late! No presents were left, no cookies were ate, So tell us Fountain, where can he be?" And then in search of him we will flee!" "My dear little children, There is indeed a problem. Santa's sleigh is overloaded with presents too heavy. For his poor little reindeer to carry. So quick hop on Mother Goose's Goose, (Though don't hang on too loose!) And fly to the great North Pole, To help Santa pull his heavy haul. Now go quickly, please hurry. For it looks like on its way, is a flurry!" So off they flew as they set forth, ' To find Santa up in the North. But when they got there, They saw something so rare... A sight that was not "merry" to see. For there sat Santa sad as can be. - "Why, what's the matter?" asked the two, "Oh!" cried Santa, "What to do, what to dot There's no way my aging reindeer can pull that sleigh!" "We can help!" "What's that you say?" ,Well, with the help of the goose, maybe..." Santa said dimly. "It will work, you m•..,t believe!" exclaimed Timmy. "You're right, anything's possible if we believe!" Santa said with a grin. So off they went, delivering presents to all of their kin. Although delivery, this Christmas Eve was a little late, The children exclaimed, "It was well worth the wait!" And finally in the Land of Rhyme; It was a merry Christmas after all, and just in time! Do we have time to build a new sleigh?" Thinkful the elf had an idea. "Let's make Jack Frost a special toy. then maybe he'll give hack the sleigh." The elves got right to work making a snow globe ice palace forJack. Four hours before Santa needed to deliver the presents to the boys and girls he and Rudolf were at Jack Frost's place door. Santa presented the present and Jack was so overcome with Santa's generosity he gave hack the:sleigh and wished him a Merry Christmas.
