The food bank -s,pends - about- S500 a month on grocery •items not generated by food donations in the community that includes purchasing hamburger that cannot be donated. The bank has also purchased hams and turkeys to be given out this week and next to families for Christmas. Donations are also used to purchase items that may have run short on the food bank shelves or to make bulk food purchases to help the money go further.
