Depleted line-up causes
Cents to lose to Exeter 7-5
With several players sitting
out due to suspension and
affiliate players away with
the Midget team, the Cents
knew they were in tough
Friday night in Exeter.
Seaforth fell behind early
as Exeter went up 3-0
midway through the first.
"We came out flat,".
according to General
Manager Dave Parsons. The
Cents regrouped between
periods and came out with
some intensity for the second
frame. Adam Boshart started
the scoring with his first of
the season as he let a wrist
shot .go crossing the Hawks'
hlueline to get the Cents on
the board.
Midway through the
period, Jeff Arnold tipped a
pass from Jay Baker on .the
power play to score his first
of three power play goals on
the night.
The Hawks' power play
answered back but Arnold
retaliated for the Cents to
close out the period down 4-
3.
The Cents played well in
the third, getting goals from
,Kyle Kruse and Arnold but
• were answered by Exeter at
every turn fora 7-5 loss. -
Jay.Baker had an excellent
opportunity to score on a
. breakaway midway through
the period but was turned
aside. Seaforth was on the
power play for the final five
minutes of the game. scoring
once, hut giving up a short-
handed goal also.
