Senior Shuffleboard Senior Shuffleboard is. held at the Seaforth and District Community Centres each Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship. Last week's scores are: Santa Claus is coming to town. Yes it is that time again when Santa makes his rounds at all the Santa Claus parades and Seaforth's will be held on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 pp. The parade will begin at Rona Cashway and travel up Main St. and finish at the Community Centres. Santa will be at the Roundhouse after the parade to hand out treats to the children. Hot refreshments will also be available for the parents. This year's theme of the parade is "A Fairy Tale Christmas". Tree of Lights celebration Support the Seaforth Hospital Auxiliary Residents tour to see fall colours Maplewood Manor Residents of Maplewood Manor took full advantage of the beautiful fall weather by taking a tour to see the - autumn colours which were spectacular. Church services were held with Rev. Springett, Rev. Comveau, Rev. Hiscox and a communion service with Rev. Vandermey. Music was played by Marian Rose, Rev. Vandermey, Virginia EIg and Marjorie Papple for our services. Residents are back in the swing with crokinole and are enjoying the company of our • volunteers. Craft classes are busy getting ready for our Christmas Bazaar and Tea which is approaching on Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spring bulbs were planted during Horticulture Therapy with Eleanor Horst. Bingo with Betty Hulley is enjoyed every Friday afternoon. Everyone especially liked the Halloween games. Geri Fashions of London arrived at Maplewood to display their fall and winter clothing. Ida Earl, Olive Papple, Lois Moore, Ruth Smith. Doris.Carnochan and Wanda Dietzdida_wonderful____ job of modeling for the fashion show. . Residents enjoyed their visit with Margaret Whitmore who provided skin care treatments for their hands. , Marian Rose and Bill Gibson visited Maplewood to entertain residents with. beautiful piano music. Grade 12 students from the class of Tem Britnell visited residents and played games of euchre, crokinole and Uno. The spooks and goblins were out in full force for our Halloween party with the Huron Strings. Residents greatly appreciated the visit from members of the Seaforth Legion who came to Maplewood for a Remembrance Day service. Hensall Legion attends Queensway Queensway veterans were pleased to be remembered . . by the Hensall Legion members who took time to visit them in recognition of Remembrance Day. The Queensway Volunteer Auxiliary members held its November meeting at Millingions in Bruceficld, Tuesday,at 11 a.m. and following the meeting were treated to an appreciation luncheon for the invaluable way they work and contribute to the programs and special events held for the residents. Thursday evening. senior diners enjoyed a relaxing time of visiting with residents onboth nursing and retirement home levels following their meal. Sharon Martin assisted a group of interested residents as they worked on creative Christmas crafts and completed their tree ornaments, Friday afternoon. We will soon be decorating for Christmas in time for the family dinners and Christmas programs. "Tree of Lights." a celebration of sharing, a gift of light. The lighting ceremony will be held at the Seaforth Recreation preview By Marry Bedard Community Hospital .front lawn on Sunday. Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. Come early and enjoy some hot mulled cider and home made cookies. Tickets can be purchased at the hospital or from any auxiliary member. All proceeds will help Ladies: Helen Scott - 340. Ann Van Dooren 296 and Velma Preszcator - 206. Men: Art Strong 361. Harry Pennings - 345 and Ray Hallam - 271. Toy, Doll and Craft Show Don't forget to mark Dec. 2 and 3 on your calendar for the Annual Toy. Doll, Craft Show and Sale hosted by the Seaforth Agricultural Society. This is one of the biggest show of its kind and will be held at the Seaforth Agriplex, Seaforth and District Community Centre and Seaforth District High School. Watch The Expositor for more details.
