Church services titre led by Rev. Vandermey. Tony Davison from Bethel Bible Church and Rev, Niscox. Residents also enjoyed Bible studs v,nth Rev. Sheila Macgregor: • Residents -were off to an early start to arrive at the Threshers Reunion in Blyth to enjoy a tour of the event andtthe, entertainment of the afternoon. Everyone gathered'around the piano to sing - along to their favourite tunes played by Marian Rose: Crafts are well underway again with a lot of new ideas for our Christmas bazaar. Bingo and euchre are also popular activities that residents do not like to miss. - We were in tears laughing at the antics of "Ike the Clown" who came to Maplewood to -perform many tricks -and to sing some Maplewood Manor Nursing Home humt►urous songs. Toes were tapping as residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoxm of • music with Carol Lebeau and Bill Pepper. Residents were•treated to an evening of great singing:at the -Harvest of Harmony" concert featuring the Harmony Kings and guest soloist and quartet. Residents welcomed Margaret Whitmore ,who demonstrated special skin care for hands to the ladies of Maplewood. An appreciation dinner -was held for the ladies of St. James. church who are so faithful to bring -communion to residents of their church. Residents have been gettingback to nature with Eleanor Horst who comes for horticulture therapy. We have been working with ivy plants and also made pumpkin arrangements for Thanksgiving. Residents enjoy Thresher's Reunion George • Wright, Tom Joyes and Everett Sea forth Manor Retirement Home Scrimgeour enjoyed their day out at the Thresher's Reunion in Blyth. We took the "big wagon" for a•tour, went through the exhibits, ate lunch upstairs and listened to ' great music afterwards. A big.fashion show was held Sept 12. Anna Lowey, Agnes McClinchey. Marg Radford. Verna Edgar and Charlene Foxton were our models. Some of us went to the Seaforth Fall Fair on Sept. 15. We went through exhibits and went to the penny sale. The Zurich Connection. band played for us this month. We had a tot of • dancers including George Wright, Doris Ryan, Marg Radford and Murray Rollinson.
