A lovely fall evening was enhanced by the sights and sounds of the drums and the pipes. Hot apple cider was served to ward off any evening chills, and all agreed that this is one of our favourite community events. An outing to Stratford for our fall colour tour was enjoyed. A delicious lunch was enjoyed down by the river. The swans and the r geese nearby made this a very picturesque day. We were fortunate to have many musical entertainers in during the past month. The Zurich Connection, Carol Carter, Carol Lebeau and Bill Pepper, Paul the Fiddler ' and Marie Flynn and The Huron Strings all provided toe -tapping music to delight our residents. A very special afternoon was held by the family of Len Strong to celebrate his 87th birthday. Members of the Strong family were joined by the Barbershop Quartet, "Audibly Awesome" to entertain all of our residents for a wonderful program. Members of Anne Nolan's family also held a special celebration in honour of her 75th birthday. Our Western Days theme for the month had everyone enjoying our final barbecue of the season. a county fair video, the movie, "Babe, Pig in the City," and our western dance with everyone sporting cowboy hats. We enjoyed seeing everyone who stopped by our booth at the Seafortti Fall Fair. , Our coffee break. fundraiser for the Alzheimers Society was enjoyed by all who attended. We were also delighted to have the youth from the "Christ in Others Retreat" group visit us for an afternoon as part of their weekend activities. Providing our worship services for September were Rev. Nic Vandermey, Bob Hulley, Rev. Rob Hiscox, Rev. Dino Salvador and Rev. Sheila Macgregor.
