Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship. Last weeks winners were: Ladies - Wilma Pennings - 310. Kathie Tippelt - 308 and Joyce Matzold - 290. Men - Ken Lingelbach - 283 and Harry Pennings - 256. Children's Centre General Meeting The Seaforth Co-operative Children's Centre's first general meeting for the co- operative membership will be on Oct. 5 at the centre beginning at 6:30 pm. Role call is a box of Kleenex or band-aids. Call the centre at 527-0682 for more information. Fall Recreation Programs Recreation preview The Seaforth recreation department's fall programs will begin the first week of October. Wood refinishing will be held at the high school on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m., dog obedience will be held at the community centres on Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m., learn to dance will be offered on Wednesdays from 7 - 9 p.m. also at the community centres and basketball will be held on Thursdays from 8 to 10 p.m. at the high school. Curling Coaching Clinic The Vanastra Curling Club will be hosting a NCCP Level 1 Theory Coaches Clinic on Oct. 21 and 22 at the Vanastra Curling Club. Registration fee will be $62. Joan Barfoot at Seaforth Library The Seaforth Library would like to invite you to the kick off for Ontario Public Library Week from Oct. 17 - 22 at the Seaforth Branch Library Guest speaker will be Joan Barfoot, award-winning author of Dancing in the Lawnbowlers enjoy goose dinner Sept. 17 saw a full entry bowling at the Seaforth Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club greens in their annual Turkey Tournament. First place went to Seaforth's Lee Ryan and Carol Carter. Third place was Erich Matzold and Jean 'Lunn of Seaforth. . . High two game winner was Norm Welsh and Marg Potter of the London Fairmont Club. On Sept. 19 some 30 members enjoyed a wild goose and beef dinner. Neil Beuerman, president welcomed all present and grace was given by Donna Beuerman. Supplying the geese for the dinner was member Jim Stotts. At 7:30 p.m. the club held its fall annual meeting with 21 members present. Last Saturday saw Kevin Rumig of Goderich and Eileen Adamson being two game winners at the Elmira M.P. tournament. The Goderich mens pairs tournament, scheduled to be held at the Seaforth greens on Sept. 23, had to be cancelled due to the inclement weather. Seaforth's men's pairs scheduled for Sept. 27 is going to be well attended 'if the weather cooperates. Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. will be the final pot luck supper at the club house for the season. Euchre will follow. Terry Fox Run Results Seaforth had -102 participants at this year's Terry Fox Run collecting over 55,100. the highest total ever.
