given by Helen MacKenzie.

Lunch was served by the
hostesses. Helen.MacKenzie
and Clarissa Stewart.
They held their Sept. 12.
meeting at the home of Vola
Lawson.
Viola welcomed
everybody.

Gordon Glen gave us some
details on the lunch booth at
the fair.
A S50 donation was made
for the Huron Seniors
Services Day.

Rally is Oct. 2 in
Dashwood at the community
centre. Bring your own mug
and S2 for admission. -
Oct. 24 is the London
Convention in Thorndale.
The meeting was turned
over to Marjorie Rock.
Clarissa Stewart and
Marjorie conducted a quiz.
Clarissa gave three
readings. The Oct. (0

with his three brothers and
four sisters travelled to their
hometown of Middelbeers in
southern Holland fora
family reunion where. 92 first
cousin got re -acquainted
after 47 years. The highlight •
• of the family reunion was an
open house where they met
their 90 -year-old aunt as well
as old neighbours and
friends.
A horse and covered •
wagon picked them up at the
pottage where they were
• staying to travel to the event.
Joe also did some biking
and touring. taking in the
''Three Countries Spot:' a_
post which.marks the place
where the three countries of
Belgium; Holland and
Germany meet. Joe visited
Delaks in Northern Belgium,
the hometown of his wife
Rose. (Michierls) Visser and
also visited Jean.Van
Drunen's brother and
brother-in-law.
Their family millennium
• project completed. Tom and
Joanne Melady. Lisa and.
Danielle; have returned from
their trip across western.
Canada: .
Having travelled around
the eastern,part of Canada
earlier in the summer, they
proceeded with their
camping tour of western
Canada. leaving at the end of
July. Starting in Toronto.
they visited with Tom's
.brother, Don Melady, and
visited Queen's Park..
In Winnipeg, they visited
with Joanne's sister, Mieke
and Jim Wernham.
In Saskatoon, they visited
the historical places of,the
Northwest Rebellion and
Lou1S
Riel,
In Edmonton, they visited
the Ukrainian Heritage
Village and West Edmonton
Mall.
They saw the Pacific
Ocean, visiting Victoria.
. Vancouver island. and 1bm's
• sister, Jim and Joanne Fisk;
and Jesse Fisk in Vancouver.
Travelling back through
Alberta, they visited Banff,
Lake Louise and Calgary.
An unusual family
millennium project. but a
very rewarding experience.
The St. Columban Men's
