high-risk individuals, children, and families in Huron County.
The County is pleased to invite proposals from the community under Its
. Pathways Opportun ty Grants program.
Pathways Opportunity Grants will be directed towards new, innovative, and
collaborative projects that focus on the following prionty areas:
• HOMELESSNESS: directed at emergency housing supports and
the prevention of forced homelessness. •
•FAMILY VIOLENCE: directed at prevention of and safety from
violence and abuse in Huron County.
•EMPLOYMENT-RELATED INITIATIVES: designed to
help local residents obtain and maintain employment. •
• CHILD POVERTY: for activities that prevent and reduce child
poverty.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
For the Supply, Service and Support
of Computer Equipment
The County of Huron hereby requests proposals for the supply,
service and support of computer equipment for the Corporation of
the County of Huron.
Information regarding the request for proposal may be obtained in
person from the Clerk -Administrator's Office, located in the Huron
County Court House, Goderich. Open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
PROPOSALS must be received 'at the Office of the Clerk -
Administrator by 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2000.

Request for Expressions of Interest ,
to prepare a
Library Strategy
The County of Huron is inviting Expressions of Interest with
respect to the development of a Strategic Plan for Library'
Services. The County has the responsibility to provide public
library services to all residents in the County.
The County of Huron wishes to undertake a long-range strategic
plan for library services, to develop a planning document for the
Huron County Library Board and County Council. Lower -tier
municipalities will also be able to use the document to plan the
development of library buildings.. The plan will have clear goals,
priorities, and an operating plan. It will also identify library
needs.
The consultant will work with a Steering Committee. The
Strategic Plan will provide a ten-year framework for an annual
operational plan as well as be subject to revision every three
years. The Final Report will be due the summer or fall of 2001.
Expressions of Interest should consist of a two-page document
outlining your vision and approach to this task. In responding to
this document, please provide an indication of your organization's
knowledge and appreciation of rural Ontario municipalities and
public libraries as well as their responsibilities and challenges.
