Local bowlers go to Montreal
to compete in national games
Seoforth lawn Bowling Club
The Seaforth Lawn Bowling greens saw 10
greens in play on Wednesday, Aug. 16 when
Goderich Club held their annual Lorne Webb
Memorial tournament here.
First prize winners were Lee Ryan and
Carol Carter. Other Seaford% winners were
Kevin Rumig of Goderich, Eileen Adamson,
Erich Matrold and Jean Lunn.
Bowling in Ingersoll at Cobi Farms Corn
tournament, Erich Matzold and Jim Stotts
placed second.
In Clinton's mixed pairs tournament on
Saturday Jack and Mane Muir won second.
Sunday at Mitchell saw Fred and Betty
Tilley winning the consolation prize at the
William Ducklow memorial tournament.
Wednesday, August 23 will see over 100
bowlers at the Seafonh greens bowling in the
annual double draw anniversary tournament.
The club also caters for supper for this
tournament.
Lee Ryan and Carol Carter are in Montreal
this week competing in the Canadian
National championships being held there.
• Carol is competing as lead in ladies fours
while Lee is in men's pairs.
