new by-law passed Aug. 8
by Seaforth town council.
"There is getting to be
more and more heavy track
traffic on residential streets
and we have to do this for
the maintenance of our
streets," said town
,administrator Jack
McLachlin.
While tractor trailers are
not allowed to travel the
side, streets, they are
allowed to make deliveries
for commercial, industrial
and institutional purposes.
As well. local drivers are
allowed to 'take their
tractors home but must park
their trailers at the parking
lot near the railway tracks.

ambulance services in Seaforth. Seaforth Reeve Lin Stettkr
reported to town council Aug. 8.
"A very- large package is going -to Huron County- council to
remind them that there is support.- said Stefticr. ' • -
SeaforthCommunity Hospital has offered to pad for state -
of -the -an ambulance bays at the hospital if Huron County -
council agrees to keep an ambulance service to Sealonh. Al
its July meeting. Huron County council .passed a motion
moving the Seaforth ambulance to. either Clinton .or a point
on Highway 8 between Clinton and Seafonh.
Stefflersaid- Clinton hospital's. letter includes a qualifier
that- it supports Seaforth if the number of approY
ambulance sites increases from four to frye. keeping
ambulances in both Clinton and Seaforth.
She added that the only local hospital not to endorse.
Seafonh's ambulance bid is the Exeter hospital only h cau.e
it has its own fight. over ambulances • in Zurich .and
Dashwood:
"We have not admitted defeat yet." she said. •
