Men: Harry Pennings - 360, .and Ken Preszcator - 301. Sports Council Bingo The Seaforth Minor Sports Council would like to remind all bingo players about our weekly bingo at the Seaforth and District Community Centres every Monday at 7:15 p.m. The jackpot is $1,000 on the second and fourth Mondays and $750 on all other Mondays. The last doubles bingo will be held on July 31. All prize money will be doubled and the jackpot will be $2,000. Come out and try your luck. For more information please call 527-1272 or 527-0882. Basketball Challenge Seaforth will play host to the first annual three on three basketball challenge on July 28 and 29 at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Come out and check on the action. The basketball will be played on the arena floor, so there will be plenty of Seats available in the stands for you to watch. After a little basketball action on Friday evening slide downtown to the annual BIA Moonlight Madness. Many activities will be. By Marty Bedard taking place on' Main Street. as well as most stores hosting sales. ' Children's Centre Beach Party The Seaforth Co-operative Children's Centre is having a beach party on July 31. Come out and join the fun. Activities willinclude beach ball toss, sponge water fights. create your own sun visors and sand castle fun. Enjoy a picnic lunch and lots of fun for_only $15. Children ages 5 to 12 are welcome to sign up by calling'the centre at 527-0682. Jump Rope for Heart Forty children at the- Co-operative Children's Centre participated in Jump Rope for Heart during the week .of July 17 - 21, This is a unique program combining physical and cardiovascular health education while raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. If you wish to make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation please forward it to the centre by July 28.- Donations over $10 will receive a charitable. income tax receipt. St. Marys teams are big winners in July 23 tourney in Seaforth Seaforth Lawnbowling Club July 23 saw 16 teams in. play at the Seaforth Lawn Bowling Greens. St. Marys teams were the big winners for the day with. Ivor Newton and Christine Wydeven taking -first, Bill and Abby Graham second and fourth going to Marjorie Leslie and Marilyn Lancaster. The tournament was. sponsored by Fred and Betty Tilley. In out of -town .tournaments, Jack Muir and Bob Doig were second .in men's pairs at Brussels. Two pairs also went to Lucknow. Fred Tilley and Neil Beuerman were first and Jack Muir and Bob Doig placed second. Also at Brussels, men:'s pairs Kevin Rumig and Neil Beuerman picked up the consolation prize. Last Tuesday evening saw three mixed pairs at the Goderich evening tournament and Seaforth's Jack and Marie Muir won first. Lee Ryan and Carol Carter were second. Fred and Betty Tilley were fourth. July 17 Seaforth 12 at Wallace Twp 0 HlghlIghts:•Brent Coleman went the distance striking out nine along the way. Seaforth scores seven in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way. Troy Hopkins hit a double. in the fourth -inning, drivingin two runs.. - Seaferth's.record after. the regular season is 12-0, scoring 223 runs and .allowing 32 against.
