OPP warn residents to be wary
as man steals women's underwear

Residents across. •Huron
and Perth Counties are
being •asked. to .hake sure
they keep-• their homes
locked and are asking for
help from the public to find
a man who • has .been
stealing women's
undergarments from their
homes.
In two reported instances.
the suspect spoke with.the
women at their homes while
they were . on• their
properties. •
While' specific .details
aren't available. Constable
Dale Gear ot, the Western
Region Crime Unit. in
London said the women
were dust happened to he
—outside doing regular
'activities like yard work
when the suspect
approached and 'spoke to
them.
Sometime later. the
suspect entered their homes,
.went to the bedrooms and
stole some of their
-undergarments. ,
Details weren't known of
how much time passed
before the suspect entered
the homes.
The two -incidents were
reported from St: •Mary's
• *and Exeter and..a third
incident occured in
Wellington County when a
man matching the suspect's
description approached a
woman there.
"We're not really alarmed,
we just want people to have
their radar out," said Gear.
-He said OPP are asking
people not to think they are
bothering officers by
reporting anything they
think might be suspicious. -
" Let us decide.". he said,
adding that sometimes little
pieces.of information from
the public help police solve
crimes.
Gear said the incidents•of
underwear theft occurred
during the past two weeks
with the most recent
occurring last Wednesday.
"There's been no
instances reported since." he
said. •
