Students from First Presbyterian Church's youth group took
part in a -30-hour famine" effort to raise $1,115 for the
foodgrains project. Members of the youth group gathered on
a weekend at the church this spring where they played games
and entertained themselves as they went without food (just
water and juice) for 30 hours, collecting pledges for their
efforts. Among the students taking pari were (front, from left)
Adam McKichan, Jill McKichan, Stephanie Bach, Craig
Nicholson and Tim Robinson and (back, from left) Dale Ann
McKichan, Ryan Nicholson, Mike Dillon and Jim Murray, who
was receiving the cheque on behalf of the Canadian Food
Grains Bank.

Our building was
decorated with flags in every
window, the trees
surrounding our front circle
drive were sporting huge red
and white bows, balloons
encircled our red and white
Heritage Garden and the
weather was perfect.
The stage was set for a
gala performance from the
Seaforth District High
School All -Girls Marching
Band. who entertained a
crowd of more than 200 on
our front lawn prior to
Canada Day.
Residents were decked out
in special Canada Day hats,

introduced Pat Ryan who
thanked the band and
presented a gift to them and

who contribute their time,
talents and concern for our
residents every day of the
year.
Our Seaforth Ministerial
held its last meeting of the
season. We look forward to
its return in September. We
appreciate our clergy who
continue with their summer
services at the Manor.
We also treated the Grade

visits since last September
for our Bowling Buddies
Program.
Gloria Wilbee entertained
with guitar music and
singing on our front lawn for
our June birthday party. We

our men prior to Father's
