Canada Day celebrations include band reunion
The Seaforth Recreation
Department will once again
be hosting tennis lessons with
Hank Binnend) k for youth
and adults. beginners and
advanced players.
Youth beginner will he
held ea'h Tuesday morning
from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and
youth advanced will he held
from 10:30 to noon.
The youth lessons will be
nine weeks long beginning
on July 4 and the registration
fee will be $30.
Adult beginner will be held
on Wednesday evenings from
6:30 to 8 p.m. and the adult
advanced follows from 8 to
9:30 p.m. beginning on July
5.
The adult lessons will be
10 weeks long and cost S40.

• celebrations begin on Friday.
June 30 at the Seaforth
Manor from 2- 4
p.m. when
the SDHS Girls' Band will be
performing on the front lawn.
followed by a ribbon cutting
icereinpny for the new
heritage garden.
On Saturday: July 1. at 7
a.m. 'the Firemen's Annual
• Canada Day Breakfast will
be held at the fireball. Come
out and enjoy bacon. eggs,
sausage. pancakes. toast.
juice and coffee.
- The Heritage Walk Poker
. Rails will be held at Victoria
Park at 1 p.m. Please register
and begin walking before
1:30 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded to
the first and second highest
poker 'hand and the lowest
poker hand.
After the walk. take a trip
to the town hall for a look at
the Seaforth and Area
Museum. which will be open
from 1 to 4p.m.
From 2 to 7 p.m. the
• Seaforth All Girls Marching
Band Reunion and Chicken
Barbeque will beheld at the
Lions Park..
Once again the day's
• actj% ijies will finish up with
'the fireworks display at the
high school. with admission
of S l O per car.

School will be the site .of a
three -on -three ball hockey
tournament on Saturday, June
24.
Youth will compete in two
age divisions - 14 and under
and 12 and under.
Registration fee is $60 per
team and registration forms
can be picked up at school or
contact Bonnie O'Reilly at
522-1032. Deadline for entry
is June 22.
Basketball Challenge
The Seaforth Recreation
Department will be hosting a
three -on -three basketball
challenge July 28 and 29 at
the Seaforth and District
Community Centres.
The "Hoop It Up"
atmosphere is coming to
Seaforth this summer and it's
time for you to get involved.
Young or old, big or small,
bench warmer or pro, grab
three of your friends and
challenge players from
throughout this area to a
game
Registration fee will be
560 per team and each player
will receive a free t -shirt,
player packages. guaranteed
•
three games and prizes -for
each age division.
Registration forms can be
picked up at your school. or
various locations around
town or at the recreation
office inside the arena.
