offender
charged
with
2I counts
of theft
Three male young
offenders have been
arrested after ' OPP
connected them with
several break and enters in
Huron County between
Jan. 12 and Feb. 5.
Facing 43. charges is a
17 -year-old doderich
youth, with charges
including - four counts
relating to breaking and
entering into businesses in
Seaforth, Hensall.
Dungannon and Huron
Park.
He is also charged with
21 'counts of theft. 13
counts of possession of
stolen .property and five
counts of mischief.
The charges also relate
to incidents of theft and
mischief involving
vehicles from Dublin,
Seaforth, London, Clinton.'
McKillop Twp., Stanley
Twp.. and Goderich.
Items' stolen from
vehicles included cash,
cellular phones, CD
players and stereos.
Two 17 -year-old youths
from Port Albert and
Dungannon have also been
charged in connection with
some of the incidents.
Town may
control use
ofhighway
banners
Council may look into
putting a banner policy in
place for the :placing of
promotional. banners across._
Highway 8, the only location
in town that can
accommodate them.

Forrest told council at its
May 9 meeting he had a
request to place a Hire -a
Student banner across the
street and :was wondering
what the policy ,was for
putting the banners up,a '
Administrator. Jack
McLachlan.said there should
be a written letter Uf request
sent to council before a
banner can be considered for
placement •to -prevent any
overlap between one banner
and the next.
. He also said council needs
to decide .whether or not to
charge for the service and
that so far, the PUC has been
putting them up as a
courtesy.
"I think it should tome to
council. That way, we can
have some kind of control
over it," said Mayor Dave
Scott.
No motions were made
regarding the issue.
