This event includes a bake table, entertainment, prizes, dessert and tea. The Spring Fling will take place at the Seaforth Legion on Wednesday, May 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. Congratulations from the whole community to Thomas Murray and Emily Van Bakel who recently participated in the Mitchell Music Festival and were tops in their class with their singing. The students of St. Columban School prepared for the celebration of Easter last week with a joint St. Columban/St. Patrick's . School Mass held at St. Patrick's in Dublin. Mrs. St. Columban Waechter's Grade 7/8 class also performed a passion play for the whole school. A warm St. Columban welcome to Mike and Heather Pulles and family who have moved into the former Kittmer residence. Best of luck to Mike and Pam Kittmer and Cherisa who have moved to Stratford. Helen and Brad Gordon from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan are visiting with her mother, Cecilia Ryan. as well as other relatives and friends in the area. Pat and Maryanne Feeney, Matt, Mark, Andy and Erin visited in Newmarket for t weekend with Maryanne's sister. Teresa and Paul White. Jamie and Erica. Pcter Bush and family. New officers acclaimed at general meeting The elections of officers for the coming year took place at the Seaforth Legion's General Meeting last Thursday. Everyone was elected by acclamation. They include: Past President, Linda Gridzak; President. Eva ' Brown; First Vice President, Ralph Wood; Second Vice President. Jim Brown; Secretary. Gordon DeJong: Padre, Errol Skillender. ,Chairmen of all committees are appointed as is the treasurer. A joint installation of officers with Brussels branch along with Seaforth Auxiliary and Brussels Auxiliary will be held at . Branch 156 Seaforth on May 12 at 8 p.m. Corte out and support our new officers and make Brussels welcome. May 15 will be the last Monday euchre party until the fall according to seniors' chairman Jean Ross. The deadline for ordering tulips from the Legion has , been extended until June 15. If you would like to order these tulips contact Thelma Coombs or Ann Wood. Donations were made to Blue Fishing Charter for $100. Scaforth Manor for SI00 and Meals on Wheels . for $50. Kippen East WI holds annual meeting Ruby Triebner and Helen MacLean were hostesses at Ruby's on April 18. to the annual meeting of Kippen East W.I. Ruby Triebner gave the nomination report and the officers were installed for 20(02001. The planning meeting for next year's programs will be Monday. May 8 at 8 p.m. at Grace's. Seaforth Legion Tickets are still available for the annual duck race on May 6 at 2 p.m. On May 28, the ceremony of the burial of the unknown soldier, in Ottawa will be on tv at 1:30 p.m. channel not known at this time at the Branch.
