So all in all, it seems like a great way to begin the golf' season. Not so fast! Using a driving range as a practice facility can really help your gamc only if you follow some basic guidelines: • If you're just a beginner, it's always wise to at least get a -couple of lessons from a certified . golf instructor before practicing over and over again with the wrong grip, stance. ctc. . • Warm up your_body first. Many people forget this part and pay for it with a combination of poor ball striking and sore muscles. • Stan out with short, easy shots. Begin with the pitching wedge or 9 -iron. Work on tempo and rhythm. your clubs when you're not in your stall or swing arca. A good practice facility is more than a field and a bunch of hitting stalls. You should also visit the chipping arca to work on your shoe game. the putting green to work on your putting. and the bunker to work on your sand shots. Players like Tom Kite and Vijay Singh, and David Duval are known for long days of practice. pounding out hundreds of balls a day. but these players round out their practice with work on the short gamc and putting green too. Today golfers enjoy the luxury of hitting balls out and not having to retrieve them. In the old -days, players often supplied their own halls. which were hit out and then retrieved by hand.
