Young local musicians win awards
recently at Mitchell Music Festival
John Field, a stress_ management
counsellor with the Perth County -
Pork Producers, addressed the topic,
"Managing Anger," at the
concluding evening of the Lenten Talk Series held at the St.
Columban Church Hall.
He explained to the audience that anger is a
response to a real or perceived danger. In managing
one'4 anger, the first thing to do is, "lift the anger up"
and find the underlying cause.
Ask yourself, "Am I afraid, disappointed, hurt,
abandoned'! etc." Then one must learn how to.
respond. In managing anger, we sometimes have to
unlearn an already "learned response."
The Lenten talk series also included speakers Gabe
Del Bianco and Nathaniel Mateus-Ruiz, as well as
John Field.
The St. Columban community welcomes with love,
Julia Patricia Heaman, tiny baby daughter of Sheryl
and Carl Heaman, and baby sister for Patrick. Julia
hopes to he home with her family for Mother's Day.
