PASSES IN V-ANCOUVER
The death occurred in 'Vancouver
recently of a former Hensel]. boy,
Peter L. McArthur, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robt. McArthur of town, aged
42. He joined the Vancouver police
force as constable in 1910. In' 1919
he was made sergeant of detectives
which post he held prior to his
death. He instituted an elaborate
card index system on the police de-,
partment and his work in Connection
with it attracted much , attention
from other 'cities. Every affair in
=which the police figured, is classi-
fied under various headings. He is
sgrvived by his wife, his parents
and several brothers and sisters

donated by the Township Council of
Hay and amounts to $27,50 and
$16.50 respectively and' will be paid
in cash to the two young students.

BENSA.LL DEFEATS CREDITON
IN 9th INNINGS
On Thursday evening of last
week the Crediton nine came to
town, and staged a league game with
the local crew, the latter winning
by the score of 8-5. When the 'vis-
itors steped onto/ the diamond It
looked as if the Hansen lads were,
in for a severe trimming as neither
of the other teams have been able
to beat this snappy nine and they
looked formidible and confident.

all through except in the 1st of the
9th when the local boys hit him.

Zion Lutheran Chnrch will take
place. German services at 10:30 a.

by Rev. M. Bruer, of London. Rev.
M. Towle, of Humberstone will hale
charge of the musical part of the
services. On Monday evening Rev.
Towle will give an organ recital, as-
sisted by the choir an., men's quar-
tette of Zion Church. The collect-
ion to be lifted at both services- on
Sunday and also at the Recital will
