burning and when' he
• drove the mile and a
half from his house
to the barn, he could
see. the. flames.
Seaforth fire
department responded
with a pumper and
two tankers to battle
the blaze.
By about 9 a.m., a
Crew returned to the
fire hall while
another remained on
scene with a pumper
to. ensure the fire was
-out and that wind
shifts did not stir up
any. fresh flames.
That crew returned
to the hall later in the
morning.
A cause or: damage
estimates have not
been determined yet
-for the blaze. '

plans to rebuild the

know the monetary
value of the damages.

The Avon Maitland
District School Board will
still be able to
successfully defend its
position in court. despite
recently -released remarks
from Superior Court
Justice Thomas Heeney
slamming the board, says
board chair Wendy
Anderson.
"He (Berney) decided
he didn't want to hear the
case so 1' m not sure we
can take what he says
, seriously," says
Anderson.
"(Despite his negative
comments about the

can take from that what
you will" she says.

a lack of use
The program, which offers.
