Eleven area teams made up of 6 and 7 -year-olds competed in the three-day tournament. Seaforth faced Mitchell in the first round on Saturday. Seaforth jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the game, then traded goals in the final period to heat their eastern rivals 6-3. Round two pitted Seaforth against Hensall. Strong defensive play and excellent goaltending proved too much for Hensall. Craig Windsor came up huge in goal when called upon and at the midway point of the game Seaforth held a 2-0 lead. In the 'incl 20 minutes, the offense kicked in for seven -straight goals. Hensall potted two late in the game to make it 9-2. The WOAA final went on Sunday with Seaforth facing Goderich in an entertaining contest. Goderich trailed 4-2 at the midpoint and then scored •early in the final period to bring them within one.
