on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Win. D. Wood re-
turned to Windsor Monday after vis-
iting at the home of Mr. J. Gillespie.
Miss Wanda von Wascinski returned
with them for a visit.
.An cad barn that has stood on the
London Road about two miles south
of town for the past seventy years,
is being deruolished. It is one of
the old landmarks and was built by
the late John Evans.
Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Davidson, of
Toronto, Who were on a motor trip
throughout Western- Ontario, visit-
ed with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Harvey,.
on Dominion Day. Mrs, Davidson
and Mrs. Harvey are cousins,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnston acid
two children, Kempton and Betty
and Mr. and Mrs, J•as. Johnston, of
„Pt. Huron; motored over and spent
Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. John Prout, of Usberne.
We notice in the Honor lists of En-
trance pupils in Loddon the name of
Roy Batten, who, up to a few weeks
before the close of school was in the
Exeter Entrance class. We congrat-
ulate Rvy,on his high .standing,
Mr, J. H. Medd of Exeter has re-
turned, after a visit to Millbrook,
(his' Birthplace) to attend the fun-
eral of his sister, Mrs. Alex. Fergus-
on,: who passed away on Tuesday,
June 30th at the age of 90 years.

ford on Friday last, where they at-
tended the Follick re -union, there
being over a hundred present from
different parts of Ontario and the
United States.
The strawberry festival served on
the James St. church lawn by the
Ladies' Aid Society on Friday even-
ing last was a decided success. The
ladies provided a sumptuous supper
and Gidley's orchestra rendered some
fine music. The proceeds were over
$220. Rain coming just at the close
caused tixe gathering to disperse -in
a hurry.

Mr. Win, Folland and family of
Royal Oak, Mich., were among the
many American visitors here over
the week -end. Mr. F ol1an'd was . a
former Exeter. Old Boy, having been
an emplgye of 'tge late James Pick-
ard as ifnsmith, and' later conduct
ed a similar business for himself
here. About thirty years ago he left
Exeter for the other side of the
border and he has since been a resi-
dent with Tinele Sant. Mr. Foliand
notes many changes in the old town
during his long absence and particu-
larly in the . faces, many of his old
friends having gone away or passed
away. Re also speaks highly of the
thrift of Exeter and the great plea-
sure it afforded him to be back here
again. His sister, Mrs. Munroe also
