Spaghetti dinner tonight raises funds
for national finals for juvenile broomball
The Seaforth Juvenile
Broomball teams will he
hosting a spaghetti dinner at
the Seaforth Legion today
from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $7 for adults and.
$4 -for children 12 and
under. All proceeds will go
towards the boys and girls
teams thatwill be
participating in the national
finals .in Ottawa. For more
information please contact
Jeremy Phelan at 522-1025.

Senior Shuffleboard
continues every Wednesday
afternoon from 1:30 to 4
p.m. at the Seaforth and.
District Community.
Centres. Everyone is
welcome to come out for an
afternoon of fun and
'fellowship. Last week's

at the Library _
The Seaforth Library will.
be hosting a. couple of
children's activities during
the March Break.
On Wednesday.. March 15
'at 2 p.m. children ages 5 - 9
can go to the library and
-pa4•ticipate in a heading
workshop. A fee -of $2 will
be charged and pre-
.registration,is required.
On Saturday, March 1 R
the Library will .host a
Magic Show with Court
Jester Dave Browne. The
show will hegin at 12:30
p.m. and admission, is $I
This show is suitable for
children 3 years and up. -

raffle tickets you received at

registration- should he turned
in as soon aspossihle.
The draw will he make on
March 25 at the arena
during the houseleague
playoff games. The tickets
can be returned- to any
executive member. or
dropped off at the recreation
office. Minor Hockey would
also like to remind everyone
that. registration for next
season will fie held on June
20 and 21 from .7 to 9 p.m.
at the arena. AII players
must register at this time.

are required, one dated Sept..•

Nov. I. There will not he
any registration taken at the

Horticulture Society held its
first meeting this year on -

The meeting was opened
by singing 0 Canada with
Eleanor Horst at the piano.
Eleanor introduced our.
guest speaker. Susan Hay of
Clinton, who is involved in
the Huron Stewardship
Council. She showed slides of het'.
garden and also other
gardens that had takenpart in
a stewardship program last
year. She spoke on providing
wildlifehabitat for small
birds, butterflies. animals and
even shakes are helpful in'the
garden. She `suggested if you
have a cat, it is wise to put a
collar with a bell attached to
warn the birds.
Susan was'thanked by
Jackie Racho and Eleanor
presented her with a
miniature rose.
The yearbooks are ready
and memberships were sold.

the booth at the Home and
Garden Show
Auction sale planned
At the going down of the
sun and in the morning we
will remember them.

beef and cabbage starting at
4rp.m. Everyone is welcome.

will be held. Beef on a bun

starts at 7 p.m.
