several nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her parents,

Campbell (1970), three brothers
and two sisters. Family received
friends at the Whitney-Ribey

ADAMS, Estella Kathleen Mary
(nee Murphy): Passed away
peacefully at Restview Retirement
Home in Clinton on February 4,
2000. She was in her 8Bth year,
Born on March 8, 1912 in Hullett
Township, she was the beloved only
child of the late Bill and Kate (Little)
Murphy. She married John Lewis
Adams in 1943 and was prede-
ceased by him in 1972. Estella was
the devoted mother of Leland and
Cathy Adams of Mississauga, and
Gloria and Alex Westerhout of
Clinton area. She was the loving
grandmother of Amanda Adams of
Wolfville, Nova Scotia and Evan
Adams at home, as well as Adam
and Tyler Westerhout both at home.
Estella is also survived by many
nieces, nephews and cousins,
many who reside in Huron County
and some who live in California and
North Dakota. Estella was a lifelong
member of Burns United and later
Londesboro United Church. She
enjoyed dancing and playing
euchre for fun and also participated
in activities at the Happy Gang
Seniors and the Cheerio Club in
Londesboro for many years. She
was a practical, hardworking farmer
all her life and for years sold eggs to
Livermore's in Clinton and cream to
Bisset's Creamery in Goderich to
eam extra money for her family,
whom she dearly loved. Her family
will miss her presence in their lives
and will love her and cherish their
memories of her forever. She was a
unique and very special person,
quiet and independent, at times
guarding her privacy. She enjoyed
her own company and was used to
it all her life after she lost her moth-
er at the tender age of 15. Famity
and friends were received at the
Beattie -Falconer Funeral Home in
Clinton on Sunday, February 6 in
the afternoon and evening, where
the funeral service was conducted
on Monday, February 7 at 3 p.m.
with Rev. Ernest Dow officiating. A
eulogy written by Estella's daughter
was also read by Rev. Dow. Spring
interment to follow in Blyth Union
Cemetery. As expressions of sym-
pathy, donations may be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation or
to the Londesboro United Church.
