Province approve's southern group's restructuring plans

Restructuring orders for the
new municipalities of
r3luex+atcr and South Huron
have finally been signed.
The municipalities were

of the Villages of Zurich.
Hensall. Bayfield. and the
Townships of Hay. Stanley.

These orders were approved

last fall.
Tuckcrsmilh Township was
-originally part of this group
until the township decided
last year to work toward a
restructuring plan with
Seaforth and McKillop
Township. Now linked with
Grey Township and Brussels
as well. that group of five is
waiting for provincial
approval of its plan.
The Bluewatcr Transition
Board is scheduled to meet
on Tuesday, Feb. 15. While
South Huron has not
scheduled a meeting, they
plan to meet every second
and fourth;Thursday of the
month.
M the last meeting the
Blucwatcr Transition Board
held. 'they reviewed methods
the Transition Boards for
North Lamhton, West Porth,
Perth East, North Middlesex,
and South West Middlesex
used.
Reeve Doug Grant
explained each method. He
said North Lambton relied
too much on the consultant
to make decisions. West
Perth put too much
responsibility on too few
people and the Transition
Board was made up of only
one member of council. Perth
East didn't have enough
committees, and not all
things were covered. North
Middlesex and South West
Middlesex liked a hybrid of
both committees.
The committee decided that
the Transition Board would
be made up of all members
of council and each member
will represent a municipality
on a committee, along with a

The 124th Annual Meeting of the Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire
Insurance Company will be held in the Kirkton-Woodham Community
Centre at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 21, 2000, for presentation of
the Arpual Report for 1999, to elect Directors and to transact any
business that may rightly come before the meeting.
Nominations will be received for the election of two Directors for a
three year term. The Directors whose term of office expires are Jack
Hodgert and Larry Gardiner, both of whom are eligible for re-election.
Notice is hereby given that motions will be presented at our Annual
Meeting amending the By -Laws of the Company as follows:
By-law 7 - Date and time of the Annual Meeting
By-law 10 - Notice of Annual and Special Meetings
By-law 13 - Quorum
Article 21 - Any person wishing to seek election or re-election as a
Director mus�file his intention to stand for election in writing with the
Secretary of e Corporation at least ten days in advance of an Annual
Meeting or Special General Meeting called for the purpose of electing
Directors.
