Province approve's southern group's restructuring plans By Angelo Pickering Lakeshore Advance Staff . Restructuring orders for the new municipalities of r3luex+atcr and South Huron have finally been signed. The municipalities were notified Niooday- of the Ntinistry's.appruvaf, but have ye( to receive written confirmation. Blucwatcr will he formed from the merger of the Villages of Zurich. Hensall. Bayfield. and the Townships of Hay. Stanley. South• Huron tivill he loaned from the merger of the Town of Exeter. and the Townships of Stephen and Ushorne. These orders were approved Ay Huron County Council last fall. Tuckcrsmilh Township was -originally part of this group until the township decided last year to work toward a restructuring plan with Seaforth and McKillop Township. Now linked with Grey Township and Brussels as well. that group of five is waiting for provincial approval of its plan. The Bluewatcr Transition Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, Feb. 15. While South Huron has not scheduled a meeting, they plan to meet every second and fourth;Thursday of the month. M the last meeting the Blucwatcr Transition Board held. 'they reviewed methods the Transition Boards for North Lamhton, West Porth, Perth East, North Middlesex, and South West Middlesex used. Reeve Doug Grant explained each method. He said North Lambton relied too much on the consultant to make decisions. West Perth put too much responsibility on too few people and the Transition Board was made up of only one member of council. Perth East didn't have enough committees, and not all things were covered. North Middlesex and South West Middlesex liked a hybrid of both committees.
