Valentine's Day
can't be left out,
Residents and students play crokinole
•
A touch of Scotland was in the air
during the month of January as
residents celebrated Robbie Burns Day.
Gladys Van Egmond and Elgin Nott
entertained with many Scottish tunes.
Marian Rose also provided a tribute to
the Scottish with many piano favourites.
A special visit from pupils of Chuck
Mallot's class was enjoyed as they
played a challenging game of crokinole
with residents.
Residents tried their hand at a game
Maplewood Manor
of Trivial Pursuit and found that there
was still lots to learn: Games of
crokinole, bingo and crafts were also
enjoyed with our very special
volunteers. •
Bili Gibson and Jim McCallum each
entertained residents with their piano
music during the month
• •
Church services enjoyed over the
month were led by Rev. Vandertney,
Pastor Corriveau and by Rev. Hiscox.
Residents certainly appreciated the
generosity of Elgin Nott who shared
videos of the Plowing Match church
service, the Grand Olde Opry of the 50s
and also the Huron Strings video.
Hope you can join us at our
Valentine's Day party with the Huron -

The special years wit not return,
When we were all together,
But memories live deep within our

And keep you with us forever,

He was truly the best.

RYAN: In loving memory of Maurice
who passed away February 8,
1998.
As time goes by without you,
Maurice,
As the days tum into years,
They hold a million memories,
And a thousand silent tears,
We often sit and reminisce,
And have a laugh or two.
Fondly telling stories,
01 the things we used to do.
They bring a laugh, often a tear,
But always a wish that you were
here.
- Loved always, forever missed and
never forgotten. - Jean 46-06xlcc
MCEWINO-CARTWRIGHT: In lov-

away February 17, 1998 and
Howard Cartwright, dear husband,
father, grandfather, son-in-law,
brother, bro'.her-In-law and uncle
who passed away February 12,
1999.
God looked around his garden and
found some empty spaces,
He then looked upon the earth and
saw your tired Laces.
He saw the Med was getting tough
and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
and whispered 'Piease be Thine.'
He put His are around you and lift-
ed you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful for
He only takes the best.
