Day V Valentine's Day can't be left out, Residents and students play crokinole • A touch of Scotland was in the air during the month of January as residents celebrated Robbie Burns Day. Gladys Van Egmond and Elgin Nott entertained with many Scottish tunes. Marian Rose also provided a tribute to the Scottish with many piano favourites. A special visit from pupils of Chuck Mallot's class was enjoyed as they played a challenging game of crokinole with residents. Residents tried their hand at a game Maplewood Manor of Trivial Pursuit and found that there was still lots to learn: Games of crokinole, bingo and crafts were also enjoyed with our very special volunteers. • Bili Gibson and Jim McCallum each entertained residents with their piano music during the month • • Church services enjoyed over the month were led by Rev. Vandertney, Pastor Corriveau and by Rev. Hiscox. Residents certainly appreciated the generosity of Elgin Nott who shared videos of the Plowing Match church service, the Grand Olde Opry of the 50s and also the Huron Strings video.
