It's very discouraging." says Smith. "We have to be ready in anticipation of a decision against:us. The foundation had raised S14.000 through a letter - writing .campaign launched . two years ago when the high , schopl was first threatened. A total of 522.000 has been raised after - a renewed effort began in November with donations still being accepted by both • Seaforth , banks including the CIBC and the Toronto Dominion. 'There • were 643 signatures so we rounded it off to 52.000. That's a pretty good number." says Knechtel' owner Steve.Delchiaro.
