We walked and walked until' we came to a• barn. Inside was a light. we decided_ to go inside-. Inside was • a young woman and • a man kneeling before a haby.in a manger: The other shepherd. and I went .over to see what it was about. We found out that the .man's name was Joseph and the lady's Warne was Mary.. They had a cute little baby named Jesus who was (i00'' son. \tter• a short •ta.Ik pie \vent hack to the gracing lands. We tinall:y got all packed. We got the donkey all hooked up to the buggy. And we were off and it was slow - and bumpy. We brought lots of things to eat. It was a long way there until we finally got to Bethlehem. We found a Ntable and we asked the man • who owned the stable if we could sleep there. He said yes and we were so happy. We put the baby in the manger and the hay was so soft and we lived happily ever after.- . Devon Taylor Grade 4B The Journey To Bethlehem "Thud." went the donkey's feet.- "Come on donkey." Joseph said, as the donkey started to slow down. 1 am the innkeeperof the inn in Bethlehem and have I got a story to tell •you. Mary and Joseph came to the inn in Bethlehem to get a room. but there .were no empty rooms. I felt so awful,. having to turn them down. 4,* Then 1 remembered about the stable in the back. so I told them about it. "If you're not particular about the stay+. there's a stable at the back. It's not pretty.• but .it has a roof over your head." Mary said "We'll take it!" They walked out to the stable hand in hand. In the morning. I heard that Mary and Joseph had a baby boy and they named him Jesus. Kimmv Broadfoot The Journey TO Bcthlchcm My name is Joseph and I am the h'ushand of Mary. • We lived in Nazareth and we• were riding •to Bethlehem on a donkey. 1 could tell Mary was very uncomfortable,' humping up ,and down on a mangy: old donkey. when in an hour or so she was going to give birth to a•bahy. • When we reached the inn. I said to Mary. "this will only take a minute or so dear." So I walked up the bumpy road to the front door and knocked. Thud! Thud! Thud!. The • innkecper•answercd the door. Creeeeeeek! "May I help you"" asked the innkeeper., "Yes. you can. I need a room for my wife and myself. The innkeeper had a sorry look on' his face. Hc said: "1: m terribly sorry. We have no more room left in the inn. But there iS a stable not far .away." 1 said. "That will do." I balked. over to Mary and said. "Mary there, is no room at the inn. But there's a nearby stable.• and th'at's the hest I could do." Mary said to • me. "Joseph. as long as we're together. I don't mind where we have our baby." Slowly. we set out for the stable.' To make a long story short. Mary hada baby boy and named him Jesus.
